Just throw your computer out the window. Then get a new one.
(Yes, I actually know somebody who threw one out the window.)

Try reformatting your floppy drive and re-install ms-dos.
format /sys

Try closing whatever browser you're using and reopen the page with

I know the answer but unless you clearly state your position on the CHEESE issue, I refuse to help.
To: KC Burke
Or - if that doesn’t work proceed in this order:
1. run a file-undelete operation using “deep-scan”.
2. upgrade the motherboard bios.
3. reformat your main drive and re-install the OS...

So please, I will appreciate a straight answer from knowledgeable sources, or at least an indication of sympathy from fellow Freepers who are experiencing the same frustration as I am with this new . . . um . . . format (or glitch, or whatever). Have you been donating on a regular basis? Hmmmm?
