Surely this constitutes cruel and unusual punishment. If the remaining escapee is able to reach a pay phone, he needs to call a lawyer who is familiar with the articles of the Geneva Conventions.

Prison worker Joyce “Tillie” Mitchell had sex at least 100 times in a sewing-shop storage closet with one of the convicted killers she helped spring, a former inmate told The Post — hours after her clueless husband insisted she never could have bedded the escaped criminals.
Mitchell spent her jailhouse days giggling, chatting and showering gifts on convicted cop-killer David Sweat in the Clinton Correctional Facility workplace she was supposed to be supervising, said the former prisoner, Erik Jensen.
She would routinely end her shift by disappearing into the 8-foot-by-15-foot stockroom with the 35-year-old Sweat for at least a half-hour at a time, said Jensen. “He was getting it on with her,” Jensen said. “Or she was doing sexual favors for him.”
Mitchell, 51, gave the other inmates an unlikely excuse for her storage-closet tête-à-têtes with Sweat — she said they were just counting the clothes made by each prisoner. But no one was fooled.
“Everyone used to joke with him that he was getting his quiet time with his ‘boo,’ his girlfriend,” Jensen said. “It was like the running joke in the tailor shop.”
Jensen revealed the details of the sex romps after Mitchell’s husband, Lyle, told NBC News that Joyce “absolutely” assured him last week that she never cheated on him with Sweat or double-murderer Richard Matt, 48.
Jensen, 34, said Joyce and Sweat would rendezvous in the stockroom as often as four times a week, and he estimated they hooked up at least 100 times there during the eight months he himself was locked up there.

The whole chain of command ... from shop supervisor, shift supervisor, warden, and the warden’s boss should be gone.
She loves the guy, she helps him do things that lead to his death. That’s an extreme version of a common pattern in relationships.
Any joint funds will be gone before she sees the outside of a correctional facility. If she's co-owner of a house, well, what a pity about the foreclosure. There are ways of circumventing the "rules". Hope her husband has a smart attorney to help him with that, it's worth the legal fees.

Only wish its namesakes Bill and Hill were there permanently.
The other prisoners could have the sex escapades with Bill as much as they wished in the closet.
A hundred times and her supervisors didn’t do a thing about her romps in the closet. Inmates allowed to be in a closed room with only one guard. Refrigerators all over the unit for inmates to stash whatever they wish. A MAXIMUM SECRUITY prison where inmates are allowed to cook their own foods. If this is NY’s idea of how to run a prison, they have loads more problems than this one escape. They’re running a five star vacation. Those guys had it made in there with no reason to ever leave.
The dog is better looking, has a higher IQ and more self respect.
Have her sign everything over to him because, “honey, we need to get a second mortgage to pay your lawyer so I need your signature” and immediately file for divorce.
