The Obama administration has a money problem.
More specifically, Treasury Secretary Jack Lew is under attack for announcing that the U.S. Treasury will change the $10 bill in order to add a woman’s portrait to the currency.
The scathing critiques, from former Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke to the USA Today editorial board and leading historians, have come after Lew’s decision to demote Alexander Hamilton, the nation’s first Treasury secretary, from his prominent position on the face of the $10 bill.
“I was appalled,” Bernanke said upon hearing the news.
Lew’s decision is “sad and shockingly misguided,” wrote Hamilton biographer Ron Chernow.
The Wall Street Journal even compared Lew to Aaron Burr, the vice president to Thomas Jefferson who killed Hamilton in a duel.
Former Treasury officials are expressing their “disappointment” to the current administration directly as well.
“I expressed myself to Treasury and publicly. I suspect others are doing the same,” said Tony Fratto, a former assistant secretary in the George W. Bush administration.
Not even a grassroots advocacy group that collected 600,000 names on a petition in favor of putting a woman on the $20 bill and removing former President Andrew Jackson from that note is happy with Lew’s decision. It is still pushing on its website for Lew to put a woman on the $20 bill rather than the $10 bill.

Why don’t we just replace Hamilton with a black, Hispanic, transgender Muslim? That would cover all our bases and save us from going through this nonsense with every denomination.
Given Obama’s obvious predilections, those inclined to protest should just be grateful Hamilton’s picture isn’t being replaced by a picture of Boy George.
Why don’t we just put our King (Obama) on all out currency and coins like the UK does.

You seem to have missed the announcement - Obama’s getting set to create a new one bazillion dollar bill, with his OWN photo on it.
He’s also managing the economy in such a way that soon we’ll all need to use the new currency to purchase a bottle of milk.

We need a $3 bill more than a $25 dollar bill. I say that, because a $3 bill has been bandied about as “as phoney as a $3 collar bill”, and that’s quite fitting.
Any non-president put on this bill, will be there for phoney reasons. Put them on the appropriate bill, and let us ignore it like the Susan B. Anthony or Sacagawea slugs.
$200 and $500 dollar denominations might be a decent idea.
I personally don’t think they want a bill larger than a $100 bill because of counterfeiting problems. Half or one fifth the bills need to be passed to make the same money. Probably not a good idea.
How about we put Ted Cruz in the White House? Then maybe we won’t have to deal with this insane crap for eight years or so.
Why not make it a new money palm amount? Heck remember thatv the best thing is that the giverment has a printing press. Just go ahead and print the more money while obfuscating discussions with crap like this. Something for every one get your winner here step right up. A new 3 dollar bill should fit in just right for gasoline and or single large beer purchasers. Meanwhile leave my history alone!!!!!!
