On Thursday, the Supreme Court delivered another major victory to ObamaCare, voting 6-3 in King v. Burwell to uphold the subsidies at the heart of the sweeping health care reform law. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts appointed by George W. Bush, and once a beloved figure on the right wrote the majority opinion, joined by the court's liberal wing and swing Justice Anthony Kennedy.
This isn't the first time Roberts has sided with the left on ObamaCare. And as a result, my fellow conservatives are comparing Roberts quite ignominiously to David Souter.

He abandoned his Oath, his Duty, and his Honor.
I’m thinking of Clarence Thomas.
What I want to know is "Why"? Was he a closet traitor all along or is he being blackmailed or bought off?
Ever wonder why the CHIEF justice is writing so many key decisions lately? Usually it is spread around amongst the justices on a particular side. Is he not trusting them to say the right thing?
His philosophy is whatever Obama says it is. He’s a plutocrat or Obama has pictures of him diddling little boys. There is no other explanation for this asshole.
Yeah the Bushes handling of that was COMPLETLY “Cluster-Swived”.
Daddy gave us Souter.
W gave us Roberts. (And tried to give us Harriet Meirs.)
They knew what they were doing. Dims don’t make such ‘mistakes’.
Roberts didn’t abandon conservatives; he and the other worthless communists on the bench abandoned their COUNTRY!
Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts abandoned the United States of America and gave aid and comfort to the enemy.
BTW the Bush family makes me ill, but credit where credit is due.
Isn’t it amazing in say since 1980 the D’s bat a 1000 on SCOTUS appointments and perhaps the best the R’s do is 500.
Just imagine who Jeb would appoint..
You got the willies yet?
I got the Jebbies.
I hate the fact that the Gov't is getting way to involved in our lives but I don't want activist judges on either side?
I think Roberts has been bought.....I don`t believe that this Supreme Court represents anything like what the average American believes.
At least five and perhaps as many as eight of the nine members of the U.S. Supreme Court are millionaires according to recently released financial disclosures, and only two hold any consumer debt.......
Ruth Bader Ginsburg boasts the highest potential net worth at $18.1 million
Justice Sonia Sotomayor’s assets rose to between $1.7 and $10.3 million, ranking her No. 3 in terms of highest potential net worth

Democrat Pres. have an “A” average in terms of appointments matching their ideological platform.
What does that say about the GOP apparatus?
lol, just saw your post #31.
GHWB had chance to flip the court to conservative, but he gave us one flaming liberal and one conservative. Souter was recommended to him by Warren Rudman, a senator from NH at the time.
Souter had worked with Rudman in Rudman's NH DAs office in earlier years and Rudman knew him well. Otherwise he was a mystery. That was a time when candidates were really looked at for how they might rule on abortion. Pro-abortion GHWB took Rudman's advice and appointed the mystery man who later voted to uphold Rowe v. Wade.
There is a story of how Rudman and Joe Biden were high fiving after Souter voted to uphold Rowe.
I think these misses have been intentional by the Bushes.
I think a little counter-activism our our side is the only way out of the progressive wilderness.
I consider it something akin to carpet bombing in the second world war - of course it would have been better had it not been necessary but the act's morality or immorality depended upon the righteousness of the ultimate goal.
