His attorney says he’s unaccounted for. It was, in all likelihood, James Horner flying the plane.
“Braveheart”, “Field of Dreams”, “Glory”... just to name a few. This is one of the great film composers of the modern era.

This man created very beautiful music... if he is the one that perished in the crash then we all have lost something wonderful. :-(
I was listening to “A Kaleidoscope of Mathematics” just yesterday. A beautiful piece. Prayers for the pilot, whoever he is.
Please ping me with any Southern California related articles. Thank you!
If you want on or off this ping list, please FReepmail me.
Very sad. Prayer: Requiem eternam, Dominus Deus.
He was super talented and scored numerous films like Avatar and Perfect Storm. He crashed in the nice hills above Ojai.

“Titanic” is probably his most famous score, but I love the work he did on “Field of Dreams”. There aren’t many synthesizer-heavy scores from that period that still sound fresh and contemporary.
Very sad news if he is gone. I’ve loved his music, and have several of the movie soundtracks he created.
Really, really hoping he's OK.
‘Thought I’d ping you to this. His “Elegy” from “Courage Under Fire” always made me think of Vietnam...and actually helped chase some of the bugaboos away.
I actually thought to write to him once and thank him, but never actually did. More’s the pity.
RIP James Horner.
Best....
