The manhunt for the escapee police say killed New Orleans Police Officer Daryle Holloway, ended when a rookie officer spotted Travis Boys as he boarded a bus in the Lower 9th Ward, his broken handcuffs still on his wrists.

Police stopped the bus and Boys, 33, sprinted into the neighborhood. A swarm of officers caught him near Reynes Street and St. Claude Avenue Sunday (June 21), NOPD Superintendent Michael Harrison said.

"We always knew we would catch him," he said at a press conference outside police headquarters, flanked by U.S. Marshals, state police and Mayor Mitch Landrieu. "It was just a matter of time."

Boys' arrest ended a day-long, citywide manhunt after police found a fatally injured Holloway near the corner of Elysian Fields and North Claiborne avenues Saturday morning. He had been transporting Boys to central lockup on an aggravated battery charge.

Harrison said it's unclear how Boys got a hold of the gun he allegedly used to kill Holloway. Holloway's sidearm was still in its holster when police found him, but they also recovered .40-caliber Smith & Wesson from inside his police vehicle.

So here is a black murderer who may have gotten treated gently to avoid problems and a dead cop is the result. Who cares? Not Obama, Holder, the current AG, Jesse or Al. Black cop lives don’t matter at all to those and their masses.

NOLA and Detroit are two different cities so it's hard to compare the two. NOLA is still 1/3 white and these white people don't seem to be going anywhere soon. NOLA is still a tourist destination with a little over 9 million tourist a year. NOLA is still a center for music and the arts.

The biggest thing Detroit and NOLA have in common is a city council which is trying to ruin the city.

NOLA is one of the most corrupt cities in America. It battles Chicago for the top spot.
