MITT ROMNEY: TAKE DOWN THE CONFEDERATE FLAG, IT’S ‘A SYMBOL OF RACIAL HATRED’

On June 20 former GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney called for South Carolina to remove the Confederate flag from their state Capitol grounds in Columbia.

His call comes in the wake of the heinous attack on Charleston’s Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church. It follows a photo of the suspected gunman, Dylann Roof, in which Roof is seen leaning against his car with a Confederate flag license plate visible on the front of his vehicle being widely circulated.

Here were Romney’s exact words: “Take down the Confederate Flag at the SC Capitol. To many, it is a symbol of racial hatred. Remove it now to honor Charleston victims.”

You must remember that these politicians are jumping all over each other trying to show how righteous they are. Romney chose that one because: 1.) that slams a part of Southern, white culture, so that is good. 2.) It is rubbing wounds that have already been manufactured. 3.) the real reasons, such as drugs, entertainment, evil, etc. are difficult to address in a sound bite and would offend too many big people.

For me, the Confederate Flag symbolizes the opposite of Ferguson and Baltimore. The Left has a choice - more “room to destroy” polices or the social grace and organic good order of Dixie. That’s reality. That’s history. This Northerner will choose Dixie every time.

I live in the Peoples' Republik of Kalifornistan which will always go to the liberal candidate. So I have the luxury of writing in or just not voting as my vote won't matter anyway.

It’s a flag that those from the south need to decide for themselves. I’m not offended by the flag, but I don’t fly it. It’s not my heritage.

Right or wrong, the men, women and children who died under that flag were as good as those that died under the American Flag.

It was a different life in the north and south and it still is.

That flag has become just another "race card" and it's disgusting.
