I am almost at a loss for words.

Please bring one of these a$$holes near me. I’ll give them a real disability. I’ll beat them to death with the 2 canes I have to use to go to the bathroom.
That someone actually thinks this is enjoyable is proof of the need for lobotomies in some.
I would trade all the days I have left for 1 week of being able to walk, kneel, run, drive, etc.

This man suffers from a very real disability. He is seriously mentally ill and he needs psychiatric help and compassion — and medication, not condemnation. Sometimes I wonder about just what kind of people we conservatives really are. Sometimes I just don’t like us very much.

Someone very close to me found his way onto Medicare Disability 20 years ago because of a legitimate asthma problem. The problem with it is "once you're in, you can never leave". If one goes off Disability, they lose all the benefits, probably still not ideal candidates for work. With the job market as it is, finding jobs isn't easy for those with medical issues. But...and here's where the problem gets out of control...the person has to be disabled enough to stay on the program. That leads to any medical issue being magnified instead of solved.

The person close to me died, by that time on 14 different drugs, just about full-time doctor's appointments, a technically independent life he had lost control of and a body that couldn't cope with an injury caused by a fall. He was totally isolated, making excuses for the downward spiral, and no longer had the ability to get better or become productive.

Sorry for that....I feel better typing it out. I've seen what the program can do. I'm sure it helps some, but there are so many for whom it does more harm than good. Those who get dependent on that way of life should realize there's no escape when the downward spiral begins.
