"You REALLY need to see what happens in the BACKGROUND as Fox News reports from outside a prison" (video)
This video is making the rounds on Facebook for good reason. A sharp-eyed Fox News viewer caught some elicit goings-ons in the background as a reporter recorded from outside the upstate New York prison where two murderous inmates escaped.
And that
is how you sneak in drugs, phones and other illegal stuff into a maximum state prison! Now do you think thats possible without a guard helping out? Especially in the same prison where a guard is accused of helping two murderous and dangerous inmates escape? Oh yeah, I feel safe, dont you?
Que the Benny Hill music.....:o)
While that’s good for a laugh but it’s just the tower guard getting his johnny aka lunch.
Of course their inspected first, by whomever packed the ditty-bag. Drugs are not cheap.
If they don’t pack a lunch, tough titty, said the kitty.
No, they have to nifty inventions called stairs. Lowering the rope keeps the guard inside the tower (and the inmates out) rather than him running up and down the stairs and not being within sight of the yard. They’ve done it this way forever.
Just one question. Why can't he take whatever was in the bag up with him when he enters the tower?
The guys are getting their coffee from Tings across the street. They do it all the time.
Come on, even the inmates get fed three meals a day.
I didn’t watch the video but I figured that’s what was happening.
They should keep the prisoners in the towers and the guards should be inside the walls.
Seems like it would be more secure that way.
For those who haven't seen Warden Andy in action:
Whats up with Warden Andy Cuomo and the big escape? ("Do chrysanthemums grow on this island?")
Awesome funny...... wondering if that wasn’t a guards lunch being hooked to that line versus going all the way up the steps . Seen such on many a guard tower, prisons and protected areas etc..
Still funny.
We don’t actually know it was food. It could have been toilet paper for all we know. I just know that it’s the standard practice in NY’s max prisons. We used to have an officers’ mess at Auburn. We’d go there on our breaks and when the inmates were all locked in their cells before the lunch and supper run, we could get a hot meal or sandwich. They closed it down some time after I transferred out. Not everybody packed a lunch. When I worked at mediums, I used to stop and pick up a sandwich or salad on my way to work, but sometimes we’d order out from a pizza/sub shop. The stuff would be delivered to the prison, and the roundsman would drop the food off at various points around the prison. If you ended up getting stuck at the prison for an extra 8 hours, you were SOL for food for the shift.
LOL!
I was second officer for a time on Auburn's roof post which overlooked two yards. Since we couldn't leave, we'd have somebody bring us something from the officers' mess when all the inmates were locked in their cells. We used buckets on a rope. Also, from time to time I had to cover the gas booth in one of the messhalls there. Transferred out of there in '83, and went to work at a medium A prison. We only had one tower there, and that overlooked the front salleyport entrance, and vehicle entrance gates.
“Elicit”=illicit
This video reminds me of Mark Twain (I think) about don’t believe anything you hear, and only half of what you see.
Also reminds me of so many events caught on video tape where it is “obvious” that the cop killed a kid in cold blood, dropped a “drop weapon”, etc.
When we watch a video we come to our own conclusions and with our own mindset in place. The only thing most people know about this prison is there was an escape, and the video shows a guy sending a large bag up the wall. So obviously - this is how the tools got there!
Thank goodness for FR and the wealth of knowledge various folks bring.
