Wait, are we primarying Paul Ryan over his support for Obama’s trade authority now?

We need to not overreact. This is a BIG deal. At the same time it is a temporary deal. Obama will be gone soon.

yeah, his “slaves to their libido” remark will get him plenty of votes.
Remember when republicans were going to get slaughtered because of the shutdown? yeah, neither do I.

until election night, so when she says Ryan’s on the chopping block

He is going to be the conservative Thanksgiving Turkey. The loudest gobble will get the election axe. Bye Bye traitor.

Paul Ryan’s primary opponent last time was Jeremy Ryan who was a pro-amnesty pro-pot libertarian.

It is hard to know what the opposition to Paul Ryan is.

dont hate him. dont doubt he’s a good man.

i’m not that young, 47, and he seems old and outdated to me.

he would get destroyed by the under 34 crowd imho

i could be wrong. it happens alot.

Treaties do not just go away with a different president.

>> For a guy normally regarded as a conservative hero, though, he does have some conspicuous heresies in his record — TARP

Ryan thrives on recognition of his policy calculus. The boy is needy.

Wisconsin isn't Texas. Ryan will not draw a serious opponent in the primaries. He is one of 435, and there are more appropriate representatives to take out. He is also much more connected with his district than Eric Cantor.

Treaties do not just go away with a different president.

Sometimes they do. Dubya abrogated the ABM treaty, although technically one of the parties (the USSR) no longer existed.

If this “Deal” were an Executive Order or Executive Direction Memo, then I wouldn’t be as worried. However, when provisions for changes to immigration, stopping imports (say for guns and ammo), increased VISA quotas and the like are tacked on to some trade benefit package big business is salivating over, THOSE ACTIONS BECOME LAW.

A future President can erase and EO with a signature; it is very much more difficult to repeal a law and leave the good parts (if any) intact.

This is why I am against TPA which gives him the authority to write his own ticket AND sets the conditions on which it (a future Pact) can be defeated by Congress (the Yes/No bar is highly lopsided here). This RINO leadership is intentionally hogtieing itself and they would not do that for other laws.

On the same ticket or separately?

When Nancy Pelosi is seriously called a hero at FR its hard to tell.

This is a BIG deal

It is. US citizens across the political spectrum got mad as hell at the DC crowd continuing to sell out voters. At the very least, the DC crowd had an obligation to vote "no" and put the whole thing on hold until it was more out in the open and not another us vs them vote.

We have every reason to be disgusted with the "constitutional conservatives" who voted for this because they know what's best for us. They didn't trust that on some things people who live with the consequences of their votes know more than they do.

We’re going to get this deal deal and we’re going to get it a lot worse. Democrats are already lining up with their hands out and will vote for it when they get what they want.

They won’t get a Ted Cruz vote but he warned that there were worse deals. They will get enough democrat votes to dump a few billion into democrat and union coffers.

The hate Huckabee thing gets tiresome.

That's a leftist tactic, throwing the word "hate" towards people who have ideological disagreements with your preferred political figure.
