DEVELOPING: The female prison employee at the center of an investigation into the escape of two killers was arrested Thursday and charged with providing them assistance.
The New York State Police said Joyce Mitchell, 51, faced two felony charges related to helping Richard Matt and David Sweat escape from the Clinton Correctional Facility in upstate New York one week ago.
The men are still at large.
Mitchell was charged with Promoting Prison Contraband 1st Degree, and Criminal Facilitation, 4th Degree, both felonies, police said.
Earlier, the local district attorney said she had provided "equipment" to the pair, but not the power tools they are believed to have used to cut their way out of the maximum-security facility.
However, Wylie said Mitchell, a supervisor in the prison's tailoring shop, brought "contraband" into the prison but he declined to elaborate on what, specifically, she gave them. He said Mitchell can be criminally charged for her alleged role but no charges have been filed yet.

I bought a Honda....
☺
That’s OK...My Biker church is very ecumenical. You can come on a Honda and we will try not to make fun of you! :-)
Pithy.
These guys hopped on a NY City-bound Amtrak or Bus coz she probably gave them some travelin money too coz they were gone 8-10 hours -before they were discovered missing; even before they put their pics out to the public they are already couple hundred miles away- For Why are these cops looking s around the local area ?? STOOOOPIDDD.
It’s my first and found a great CL deal. It has been in storage for a few years.
Carbs need rework, front brakes bled (suspect bad caliper), and a couple of tires. 5K and change on the clock.

It’s up at my parent’s place 100 miles away close to where I found it. Hope to bring it home a in couple of weeks.
I’ve had a CB and a CX. The CX was way cool...configured with a transversal V-twin, like a Moto-Guzzi. 650cc
Ah...the 750 Four! I had one of those too. I FOUND it in a field. Poured Mystery Oil into the cylandars and actually got it to start!
Ya CAN’T kill em!!
I can’t get my legs around a gold Wing (I am a 5”2” little old lady!), but I reach the ground on both sides of my vintage (1993) FXR Superglide, so I’m happy.
Pithy?
Really?
I noted your response was a liberal quip or term regarding being rude, but totally lacked any denial. Words and responses can be so revealing.
When responding to evasive deceptive individuals, I have a very difficult time dressing it up or making it appear somehow acceptable. My garden party decorum seems to fall apart.
If ya don’t like it, I suggest ya stop coming back for more.
That is what the fellow in the office across the hall says, he’s had several in all kinds of conditions.
I’ve used it as a prop too. I do some stock video (and some photo) and I look to try to come up with things that are different. Every now and then, one of my oddball ideas brings in a few bucks. I used the overflow in this case. A macro for the GH4 Lumix is on the wish list.
The full URL is a bit long winded. I tested it in another browser and it loaded up.

My wife is about your height and isn’t interested in it much.
She took the surprise well when I introduced her to it a family cookout a month back. My parent and a sarcastic uncle knew about it.
I’m 6’3 and seem to sit comfortably on it.
The Pastor and one of the deacons at my church took my bike down to the bare jugs and replaced ALL the gaskets for me!
I am in awe of their kindness.
At which Amtrak station or bus stop do you think they waited for their transportation, would you say?
The closest one for both is in Plattsburgh, which is 15 miles away - not an easy walk in the middle of the night.
And I doubt there are no cameras. And since it's a college town, I also doubt there was no one around on a pleasant Friday night.
The NYC Greyhound leaves a few minutes after midnight - small chance they could have made it on time, the next one is at 9:30am.
The NYC Amtrak comes once a day at 1:30 in the afternoon.
And it takes a good 7-10 hours in transit - plenty of time to realize they were missing and call ahead and intercept them.
Care to revise your theory?
Get wifey her own, and teach her how to ride. then you can go places together, ride in formation, and look way cool!
Automotive I am fairly knowledgeable about since I’ve had Willys and AMC Jeeps for a good part of my life. I learned I was no carb person. Just replace them.
Motorcycle stuff is new to me. I’ve been looking around here to see about running down a mechanic that will work on vintage Japanese stuff. Youtube helped with just figuring out how to put a battery in the thing.
The tank is supposedly wrong for the year.
I plan to take the rider’s class as well. Know the guy who teaches it and of some who took it and all said glad they did.
Yes. the classes are good.
One is quite vulnerable on a Bike and should know all the contingencies.
Any, it would seem that, unlike the person about whom this thread is about, you and i have both handled out MLCs in a more socially acceptable manner! hahaha
I’d have a better chance of striking oil in my back suburban yard than getting her to run a motorcycle.
If it isn’t AC and AT on four wheels, forget it.
At times I’ve brought up trying the running sometimes Willys in 4 lo to try to learn a manual. Don’t count on that either.
