Gov. Scott Walker (Wis.) is open to the idea of teaming up with Sen. Marco Rubio (Fla.) on a GOP presidential ticket, he told Bloomberg on Thursday.
I do like Marco Rubio, I think he and I have similar thoughts on national defense and foreign policy, Walker, who is weighing a 2016 run, said in an interview on Bloomberg's With All Due Respect.
Asked by Bloombergs Mark Halperin if he would be open to announcing in December that the two of them would run as a ticket, and settle who would be the nominee for president and vice president later, Walker replied that some supporters had pitched that idea.
I've actually had quite a few people, grassroots supporters, donors, and others, who have made that suggestion, Walker said.
For now, you know, Marco is a quality candidate. He's going to be formidable in this race as things progress. And if we were to get in, we'd be as well, and we'll see where things take us.
He added that he and Rubio have joked that people mention the two possibly pairing up and said they would likely have to arm wrestle over who would be top of the ticket."

Gag. Or is that sarc?
Jane, I’m not all that convinced that those voting on TPP even know what it is, since it is said to be in a state of flux with international partners, until which time it is signed, and which is the only sure way to still the beast from all the horse trading going on within it.
This seems to be what makes trade agreements so risky. If Jeff Sessions is on to something, or against something, we should definitely listen to what he thinks, and vote accordingly.
The candidates may be too diverted by their campaign travel to inspect the latest developments. Surely, Jeff would contact them all, however, to share his opinion.
Thank you for your honesty in aggreeing with me that all candidates running in 2016 are AGAINST deporting the 11 million illegals. I will admit my preferred candidate, Governor Walker has said nothing about deporting the illegals. But not many Cruz supporters will be honest enough to admit CRuz will NOT deport the 11 million illegals.
Sorry I misunderstood you.
WEll where are the Walkerbots now? I’m screaming. This guy is getting desperate. Now he wants to team with RINO Marco. Mitt Walker and Marco Rubio. Perfect. :-)
I was willing to give Walker some slack, but if he’s considering Rubio, he has been lying about amnesty.
Yeh Cruz is pushing this POS TPP and TPA. He is dead to me now. I feel pretty stupid cheerleading all over FR for several mos now. Consider me retired. I am now down to Trump or Perry.
I’m still for Cruz, but Trump? I don’t understand that.
The GOP nominee of 2016, any one of the 5 current front runners, has much better chance of defeating Hillary than any candidate had defeating Obama in 2008. The Bush fatigue and Iraq war fatigue was too much to overcome.
Now there is Obamacare fatigue, economic malaise fatigue, Benghazi fatigue, Clinton foundation fatigue.
Cruz / West would be good.
Dream ticket in my book
What are you going to do if Cruz says he is open to considering Rubio for the VP slot?
You have no way of knowing Cruz will not say that, out of courtesy to a fellow Republican.
But you want to try and twist this as if Walker already selected Rubio. He just said nice things and would consider him. No endorsement of Rubio's positions.
Reagan had Bush. You act irrational and way to purist in your attempt to attack anyone who stands in the way of Cruz.
With regard to a comparison between Walker and Cruz:
Walker may have said conflicting things on immigration, but his ACTIONS are 100% solid conservative.
Cruz says good things, but his ACTIONS are not 100% conservative.
I'll still with the candidate based on his RECORD, not a candidate based on his WORDS.
In mine, too.
I am listening to Carly...wondering if Jindal will run. We have an event on Sat. on I-10 at Silbur (Cafe Adobe) Common Core and Gaffney on Houston’s Arabic Immersion Magnet. 1PM Saturday
I much prefer Cruz, but if Walker is the nominee I would vote for him, but if Bush or Rubio were his VP? That would be a tough decision.
It’s never easy.
At least Perry has the brains to see when he’s made a mistake. Ted Cruz is going to go down with the TPP ship. Trump is totally opposed to TPP. So am I.
We heard Carly on Fox a little while ago. She has a great ability to stay on message and I love the way she zaps Hillary. I hope she stays in it. Maybe she will be VP.
LOL!!! What you said made me laugh— “I’m down to Trump or Perry.”
I did wonder how long Cruz could stay the Golden Boy on FR, given that sooner or later and with nearly two years to go, things would eventually have to get real. They always do.

I really like Cruz, but I like our whole field, except for Jeb and Huck, and even they are at least pro-Life. Carly is running me off, as brilliant as she is, with her forget-about-it attitude on “gag marriage”, should it receive a favorable ruling in the US Supreme Court.
The VP is subservient to the POTUS. Bush never undermined Reagan, just as Biden doesn't undermine Obama (unless he sticks his foot in his mouth
I am fully prepared for a lousy VP pick.....providing we have a good conservative at the top.....Cruz or Walker fit that bill.
