Its declassified and made public once its agreed to, Ryan said of Obamatrade in Rules Committee testimony on Wednesday during questioning from Rep. Michael Burgess (R-TX) .
Is it too early to begin the recall election process against any “Republican” who votes for this?
I’m so glad I’m no longer a registered member of that party.
Six years in the making, ObamaTrade aligns perfectly with the passing of ObamaCare.
Big Pharma lobbyists wrote ObamaCare.
Big Pharma lobbyists helped write ObamaTrade.
The passing of Net Neutrality and the control of the Internet to a global multi-stakeholder body also aligns with ObamaCare.
The NSA spying on the global Internet also aligns with ObamaCare.
The raw conclusion one can make about ObamaTrade is that it is about absolute power.
The power of elite technocrats to control each and every person in every nation throughout the world .
The power to control websites, like the Free Republic.
The power to control guns, speech, medical care, private property, life, and death.
A vote for ObamaTrade is a vote to silence you once and for all.
The power to make you submit before a Master, to kneel in submission, to cower in fear.
And its your support for politicians that vote for ObamaTrade that will enable this to happen!
What a disappointment he turned out to be.
What knee slapping joke. We are finished in this country!!
The problem of passing it without knowing what's in it, and the seemingly absurd lack of information on it, allowing us to see none of what's in it is more than troubling. I'm shocked that Cruz has voted for it.
As to the relationship between Walker and Ryan, they're from the same party, the same state, and both are nationally known politicians. Ryan has turned out to be untrustworthy for some fairly important issues from my viewpoint, Walker is not as wonky as Ryan, appears to be more conservative, and with the vote of Cruz on TPP, his positions on H1 visas, I am seeing them as two equally flawed yet great conservatives. I like them both and hope one of them catches fire, would prefer if they both leapt out in front of the pack, the race ending with both of them duking it out with all others having dropped out.
I am not ready to drop Cruz as my favorite, I just don't understand his support for this.
I know. I too was a big fan of Ryan’s when he was chosen by Romney. My sense is that at one point he actually was a principled conservative who began over time to compromise those principles, perhaps without even realizing it. But I could be wrong. Maybe he was a RINO all along.
It did seem to me that he made a noticeable shift towards the GOPe and away from the Tea Party after he and Mitt lost. It was almost as if he became bitter after the loss, and instead of blaming the real culprits for that loss - voter fraud, a poorly run campaign, and a weak candidate, blamed the Tea Party. I guess he’s made his choice.
I will never understand why Paul Ryan would, for any reason, sell our children’s futures down the river.
Erick Erickson interviewed Sen. Jeff Sessions on Rush today. As a senator, Sessions has also seen ‘that which doesn’t yet exist.’
He says it is awful. It cedes authority to an international body in a law that says about ITSELF that it is living. IOW, the parties to it are being given permission to change it at will. He says it is backdoor immigration.
He gives all thumbs down to it.
Now, how can different conservative senators see this 180 degrees different than each other?
I don’t see a peaceful solution anymore .........
Who is obama to think he should be able to force Malaysia to practice Obama-style epa envirowackoism?
And besides, isn’t some of that deforestation due to the biofuels craze?
So says my wood-burning furnace. :>)
Good to have transparency and common sense back in the law making process.
America - what a country.
Had a recorded call yesterday from the AFL-CIO urging me to tell my congressman NOT to pass the bill.
This isn’t a trade bill.
It’s an end of sovereignty bill.
I know Sessions is saying how bad this deal is, with some detail, and I trust that. I'm sorry to have missed his conversation, if you know of a link to the audio, kindly post it.
There is precious little from an informed source that has praised the deal, actually I've seen nothing. Zip, zero, nada.
There is no recall of federal elected officials. “Recall” is by defeat at the polls every two yeas for Representatives or every six years for Senators.
The only link I can find was on Rush’s site and for premium members. I’m not one, so I didn’t have access.
George Will lays out the conservative “pro” position on TPA/TPP in the National Review. I am posting this link not because I agree with Will but to help people who don’t understand why some conservatives like Ted Cruz have supported it:
