This week Englands Former Chief Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks gave a speech described by the media as doom and gloom at a conference in Herzliya. He admitted a belief that the BDS movement had succeeded in making the State of Israel a divisive factor in Jewish life and claimed that, as a result, supporting Israel was almost impossible for European Jews.
It was an astonishingly defeatist speech, which is troubling enough. But most disturbing was the false dichotomy he presented to European Jews. In his own troubling words he said, Jews have been faced with a choice: live in Europe and criticize Israel or be silent, or leave Europe
In other words, the only solutions left for Europes Jewish community is to embrace and succumb to BDS or get out. What he shockingly neglected to mention is the obvious third option: to stay in Europe, embrace Israel, and fight for the Jewish State.

Maybe move here or to Israel?
A “treasonous” spirit seems to quite common these days..
Among a wide range of people.. (even republicans)..
EXCEPT NOT in american democrats.. why is that?..
There seems to be a typo in Lord Rabbi Jonathan’s last name.
I believe that they typed an ‘a’ where there should be a ‘u’.
The Jews were never, are not, and never will be accepted in Europe.
Europe would rather have the curse of the 7th century Muzloid savages than the blessing of the Jewish people.
And as Europe becomes more Muzziefied, there will be less and less place for the Jews, whether or not they criticize Israel.
I hope the American Jews are paying attention.

Just in my living memory it was Holocaust deniers being jailed, ancient Nazis being prosecuted, and now this. The passive/aggressive SJWs prosecuting Jews for daring to have a small and rather successful country.
Or perhaps Sacks is a modern day Jeremiah?
It was over for the Jews in Europe long before BDS got started. The remorseful days following WWII were as good as it was going to get. Given Muslim immigration and the appeasing spinelessness of the Christian community (Archbishop of Canterbury for starters) regarding supporting Jews in the face of militant Islam, they are toast. The future-king Charles wants to be the Keeper of the FaithS, plural. Well, he could start with sending out a message that protects Jews in Great Britain.
I am surprised at this.
Sacks is a household name in the UK, and is usually a very positive man. Where UK Judaism and European Judaism is concerned.
Note post #10 where one observer sees this as an attack by grandstanding Shmuley Boteach on Rabbi Sacks.
Any Jew who would have remained in continental Europe following WWII is out of his or her mind. And sorrowfully, that includes Greta Britain as well.
This guy would have made a great assistant to the Nazis, who often relied on traitorous Jews to assist them in genocide.
George Soros comes to mind.
