Ted Cruz takes a question fast track & free trade from Jeff Kuhner at the WRKO Town Hall at Southern NH University 5-30-2015
Yup. Bunch of FRiends arguing about how the candidate they support has a more reasonable stance on a piece of legislation we know nothing about.
It’s disheartening to see here.
And more importantly, why are they ok with doing it covertly?
There is no plausible reason I can come up with other than that it would never pass if the public knew what was in it. This is not a good thing.
The answer was about free trade with concerns about TPP. I agree with free trade, so on that point I agree with Cruz & Walker.
What I do not agree on is keeping a bill secret because it is the only way to pass it.
Well, if it can't be passed by making it public, then it should not pass! It is that simple.
Cruz should know that and should have stood against it on those grounds alone.....regardless what is actually in it.
That is principle, that is honor, that is what we expect from our elected officials.
But Cruz has not acted out of principle, honor or integrity on this issue. His amendment to stop the immigration powers failed and he still voted to advance the bill.
Well, in this case one must be a liar.
Cruz voted for the bill and assured us it was good.
Sessions voted against the bill and assured us it was bad.
One will be right and the other will be wrong.
In 2008, I attended a rally for Mike Fitzpatrick. He’s a good guy but when I talked to him about Obamacare he started spouting the party line, what about the good parts, yada yada.
I asked him if he’d read the bill and he had the audacity to ask me if I’d read it. I responded that I had read the majority of it and he went on about the thousands of pages. My point is, they don’t read these bills. They rely on others to filter the information for them.
Good or bad, just my thoughts.
I don’t think Paul does.
You can have free trade without all of the secrecy.
If he signs a trade deal to give Obama unlimited power, I wouldn’t trust him to do the other things you listed.
:’)
No. Flip flop is what Walker does when he never admits he made a mistake supporting amnesty.
Admitting a mistake is saying, “I was wrong to support amnesty. I apologize. I’ve corrected my thinking, and here’s why:”
LOL! I knew I could draw that out.
Lee, Sessions and Paul (Collins, Shelby too) all voted against TPP. Walker is not in the Senate so he was not required to take a stand on the bill(s).
.
Strawman argument posted by committed liar with excrement for skull stuffing:
.
>> “Get a straight answer to why he wants Barry the soros puppet an Open treaty which is unlimited power” <<
.
Obviously he doesn’t.
Those that listened to his comments understand the realities.
Those that want to put another Chamber of Commerce jerk on the ballot post the crap that you do.
.
Ted Cruz supports TPP, Rand Paul doesn’t and will vote against it. Why wouldn’t the Paulites be circling :)
....”Cruz has been outed as a first Class ..Obama cheerleader “....
ROTFLOL...Oh really now Cruz is an Obama supporter...LOLOLOL...be careful your underside is showing a bit more than tad.
You’r being kinder then I would be.
Cruz is Obama’s little obedient servant and eager to give him unlimited power just like his pen pal Paul Ryan.
I think Your referred to as a Useful Idiot At Cruz headquarters.
.
....”Its useless to try to post the logic behind Ted Cruzs decision to vote a certain way to a mob that is totally and completely illiterate and unwilling to read or listen”.....
....This country gets what it deserves with such a knee-jerking populace that reacts to every single thing like its the biggest thing in the entire world for that day and nothing else matters. Thats buying into the ‘liberal’ media sensationalization of every little thing”.....
So we do then know who’s pushing for the mass hysteria over Cruz don’t we.
...”Cruz is Obamas little obedient servant and eager to give him unlimited power just like his pen pal Paul Ryan”....
Show me in TTP where this gives Obama unlimited power without Congress’s ability to override him.
LOL...good one.
