McKinney Police Corporal Eric Casebolt has resigned after video showed him pushing a 15-year-old girl in a swimsuit to the ground and pointing his firearm at other teens.
Casebolt's lawyer informed FOX4 of Casebolt's decision.
The video of the Friday incident involving Casebolt at a McKinney neighborhood pool went viral and had initially landed Casebolt on administrative leave while police officials conduct an investigation.

Now the rabble will scream for charges against him.
Honorable but completely unnecessary.
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!
Can you blame him?
I haven’t watched the video, but I’ve read accounts.....
.....if this were in my neighborhood, you can be sure I would support the police.
This is sad on many levels.
But they were loud, smoking dope and listening to awful rap “music”.
Can’t you shoot people for that — so long as they aren’t white?
All I got out of the video is two feral youth came up behind the cop as he was trying to get control of the hysterical and resisting girl and tried to ambush him, but decided to run away.
I saw the video. Two guys ran up on him aggressively, one even reached for his back pocket. It was justified. As for the black girl, she was screaming and repeating herself the whole time, and was struggling with him. Totally justified. In fact, the hundred or so kids on there were cursing at parents, one old lady even got assaulted. All this on private property too.
Tough to tell, depends on the makeup of his chain of command. He has "room to improve," but my take is he didn't commit a firing offense.
The resignation won't quell the perpetually (unreasonably) offended class, but at least it takes the heat off his superiors to fire him.
After watching the complete video with audio I can only hope he is charged with assault. He deserves every bit of punishment possible.
Are you Law Enforcement?

“You just bought that girl in the bikini a college education costing $100,000, a new high end car at $60,0000, a new house at $500,000, and a retirement at $1,500,000.
And that does not include the $75,000 boat that you just bought for her lawyer!”
The cop got over the line. There are more details out there.
The kids were guests at a birthday pool party. It’s a neighborhood community pool.
An older woman at the pool started ripping on the kids and apparently some racial slurs were tossed around.
The cops were called after the woman and one of the teens got into a row.
My wife is lawyer and is part of an online group of other Texas lawyers. She got the info from a couple of lawyers in the DFW area. She also got that this particular cop has had problems in the past from these same kind of actions.
Didn’t the guy who took the video say he was on the cops side?
Who needs courts,, we got video..?
slam dunk justice.
In America.
amazing the transformation.
Assault?
For using bad language? You surely don’t mean he overstepped his legal authority and physically assaulted anyone, right?
The guy was a Barney Fife, he may have been OK in the office, but he was entirely too emotional and hysterical for street work.
