Ironically Manson still lives.
The poster boy of why the death penalty is still necessary.

This is a duplicate post
If only there were some way for COMPUTER SOFTWARE to recognize that a URL for an article is already posted in the database, and disallow a duplicate post.
But I guess that level of intricate programming is not yet possible in 2015.

I heard him speak to a small university gathering many years ago.
Could never shake the impression that Bugliosi fabricated the “Helter Skelter” narrative in order to get a conviction.
There was no question that Manson was behind the murders — but Bugliosi knew that the jurors might become doubtful once they learned about Manson’s ties to very well-known movers and shakers in the music industry.
He didn’t think there was enough hard evidence to show Manson’s true motivation (which was revenge against an industry which he felt had cheated him) so Bugliosi fabricated the “Helter Skelter” narrative — and the jury went along with it.

That wouldn’t surprise me. He supported another fabrication, the Warren Commission Report.

I’ve always contended that if manson was tried in todays courts he would walk a free man, just don’t think that evidence would get a conviction nowadays..... Just my 2 cent.

“Helter Skelter was a good read”
Read it as a teenager during summer break, usually in the daytime, scared the hell outta me.

Check out his book "OUTRAGE" in which he tore into the incompetents in the OJ trial like Garcetti who transferred the case "downtown" or Judge Ito who allowed the defense to play and run with the race card and finally the two inept prosecutors.
According to Bugliosi, the case was lost as soon as it was sent downtown and was unwinnable once Ito turned judicial ethics upside down and let the race card run loose inside that courtroom.
According to Bugliosi Gil Garcetti was probably more responsible for the freeing of Simpson than anyone else.

He believed George W. Bush should have been tried for murder.
That's all I need to know about the guy.

He was not a ConservativeThat is correct. He sounded like those commies blasting Bush (43) over the Iraq war. Also, Tex Watson took Manson's Helter Skelter bs seriously and Manson then orchestrated the murder of Leno LaBianca to keep control of his...family.

Good information to know, I was a kid in the 2000s and 90s. When I read the book Helter Skelter he came off as conservative minded to me, but oh well I hope he’s found peace.
