President Obamas frustration that the federal courts could unwind much of his legacy burst into public display on Monday.
In some of his toughest and bluntest comments to date, Obama said the Supreme Court should not even have accepted a case challenging his signature healthcare law.
This should be an easy case; frankly it shouldn't have even been taken up, Obama said during a news conference in Germany at the Group of Seven (G-7) summit of leading industrial democracies.
The King vs. Burwell decision, expected later this month, could deliver a lethal blow to ObamaCare by ruling that federal subsidies, granted to nearly 6.4 million people to purchase insurance, are illegal.
Its just one of several legal challenges to his agenda that have clearly got under the presidents skin. Obama also expressed frustration with lower courts for blocking executive actions intended to allow millions of immigrants to apply for deportation relief.
And the high court is expected to rule this month on a challenge to the Environmental Protection Agencys first limits on mercury and other toxic emissions from power plants, one of Obamas most aggressive moves to address climate change.
Its hugely frustrating for the president, said Julian Zelizer, professor of public affairs at Princeton University.

Dashing his mentor’s plans for the NWO and not getting the full commission must suck for the Anti-American president...
Punk president.
One of the few remaining bones of the Constitution sticks in the emperor’s craw.
I heard he bought a bracelet while in Germany. WWAD (what would Adolph Do)
From your mouth to Gods ear.
Zerocare, amnesty and the admin’s protection of conservative-persecuting IRS all blowing up spectacularly right before the 4th of July!
Huzzah!
I say the SC upholds the subsidies - Obama wins and once again, he surprises all of us
Somebody should send him the official butt hurt report form. Maybe to his “official” twitter account.
Correction: He is ONLY frustrated when they DO NOT give him what he wants by legislating from the bench
Otherwise he’s as happy as a clam with them
(are clams really that happy?)
... Only if the boo boo is on his ass.
What’s the image?
What a whinging sissy Obungler is.
Boo friggin’ hoo.
I say they don't but the GOPe will save him again and fund the subsidies.
It is an easy case. The plain language of the statute is clear, the legislative intent and history is clear, the IRS regulations , prior to being "set straight" by the political apparatchiks in the treasury were clear, and we have video of the principal architect of the law explaining why subsidies were only going to be given to residents of states which have their own insurance exchanges. Nothing could be clearer, it ought to be a slam dunk.
The astonishing thing is there will be members of the Supreme Court who will find a way to get around the unimpeachable evidence before them.
I have difficulty deciding if this guy is evil, knowing he is lying or stupid, believing he is telling the truth.
yeah, the GOP thinks they'll get a single vote from the "disenfranchised" "poor" and "people of color" if they do. Laughable how stupid they are.
