The Chaplain of the House of Representatives is so sensitive to others beliefs that even though hes given 44 prayers this session of the House, he hasnt said the word Jesus once, and will not say it.
From Roll Call:
The House chaplain has not made one reference to Jesus in the 44 prayers he has given in the 114th Congress. Conroy, who became the chaplain in 2011, consistently begins his prayers by referencing eternal God or gracious God and usually concludes them by saying, May all that is done this day be for your greater honor and glory.

“If you are ashamed of me before men then I will be ashamed of you before the Father.”
How very true. What kind of a prayer doesn’t mention the name of Jesus - we are to pray to the Father in His name. This PC stuff is getting old.
Another sign of the demise of the nation...
He has chosen to serve the secular government. Notice he makes a distinction between Chaplain and Pastor, to justify his shame. What did I read somewhere about friendship with the world being enmity with God? He is so sensitive to the unbelief of others that he has become just like them.
Deist, Jewish, Hindu, Islamic, Buddhist, Sikh, Taoist, Bahai, Unitarian, Universalist, Native American, Rastafarian, Jain.
Aren’t these prayers supposed to be ecumenical?
How do you figure that?
Precisely. To “pray”, and in that “prayer”, intentionally, repeatedly as a practice, leave out any mention of the Savior’s Name, is futility gone to seed! The Right Reverend Dr. Soundingbrass might just as well have mumbled “Peter Piper picked a peck....” It would have been just as meaningful, and just as effective. JMHO, of course.
[Arent these prayers supposed to be ecumenical?]
Why pray if the prayers go no further than the ceiling?
Christians pray in the name of Jesus. The power is in the name of Jesus.
I’m surprised he even mentioned God.
Our nation was created by Jesus Christ...we have abandoned Him. That is why the America died...and why this nation will not survive for long.
Good thing Republicans are running the House now.
That our nation legalized killing our own unborn children with no guilt or remorse should be more than enough to earn His Wrath.
At this point in our fall from Grace, not allowing Jesus' name to be mentioned during prayer in our highest places of power is just gratuitous.
Personally, I think we've gone too far to fix ourselves and that usually means pain. Lots of pain.
I'm just wondering how it will come.
Some worldly event that crashes markets and creates the panic required to strip away the thin veneer of civilization and turn us against ourselves?
Or perhaps natural disaster(s) of Biblical proportions that do the same thing?
Maybe barbarous hordes storming storming our cities, raping, pillaging, etc.?
Some nuclear or celestial event that wipes out our technology, taking away all of our toys and kicking us back to a simpler, less technical time for a while?
Quite a few possibilities from the list of nasty stuff that has been used in the past.
From the Church of Cotton Candy.
Did he make all the countries, or just this one?
I for one would fire him.
Well I enlisted in the US Army in the summer of 1969 US Army Basic Training taught us to consider the founding history and the fundamental law to prepare us to better oppose ALL enemy foreign or domestic. One of the things we learned was excerpts from the General Orders issued by Gen.George Washington. i.e. July 9,1776(when Congress finally approved Chaplains) After I was honorably discharged in 1977 America was no longer that nation I had served to defend. and it has been turned even more from the founding principles. In the Army I read several books that told of the P.O.W. how the Communists had no
comprehension of the meaning of Christian worship. How they denied it—how they felt they had to control it.
I see America becoming more and more Communist. More and More estranged from the fundamental Christian and Moral people we were intended to be.When Chaplains are ashamed of the name of Jesus-—How can any Christian be ashamed of the one whose name they identify with? When any Christian is told that he cannot mention Jesus—nor cite the authority of the Holy Bible lest he offend those who do not believe-— as chaplains are now trained in America...I can only measure that as national decline.
Our nation was created by Jesus Christ
Did he make all the countries, or just this one?
Oh no! Beaten by man’s reasoning!!! How dreadful! I immediately disavow God’s creation and even His existence!
God created America, we did not do it perfectly because just as you are imperfect so were the founding fathers who made slavery legal. We suffered the wrath of God and paid in blood for that mistake in the Civil War. God has had a hand in each nation...more recently in China where there are millions of converts coming to Christ each year. But, God had a hand in the unique form of government, which was an enlightened idea of a moral, individual freedom representative type of government. Unique to the world and blessed for the most part up until recently.
If you do not believe in God, your reasoning powers are childlike at best. So, perhaps pick someone else to debate about God, you will be unhappy and humbled debating me.
I don't see that name in any of the founding documents. Strange that much of the heavy lifting was done by non Christian deists and atheists.
God has had a hand in each nation...more recently in China
So he set up Mao and the Communists, who killed 70 million civilians (who died horribly by the way) so he could get some converts on the back end?
From where do you get this nonsense?
