I never really liked Roger Hedgecock before. However, after I discovered Mike Slator from San Diego, I found that Rodger was from the same station.
When Rodger retired, they tagged Mike S as his replacement and now they still talk on air at about 5pm Pacific.
Roger is now a retired apple farmer!

Yes, WGAN. We love listening to Rush and Howie on WGAN when we're on vacation in southern coastal Maine. However, it's very difficult to hear the station when driving on just about any ordinary street.. LOTS of power line interference. GRR

Stupid question: How do you get to go to the GOP conventions every four years? I assume you two must be very active in the Republican party?
I would love to go to just ONE of these conventions! I've been watching them on TV every four years since I was a kid...
Just imagine the hearts and minds that would change to "our side" if there was a Spanish speaking, highly entertaining conservative talk radio host blanketing the airwaves nationwide (and in Puerto Rico) over the past 20 years. DemocRATs heads would be imploding, over and over again. What a beautiful thought, huh? ;-)
In Portland itself WGAN is also on 105.5 FM...and Howie is also on AM 1400 in Biddeford ME (another WGAN simulcast). Hopefully less powerline interference

I’m not sure, she represented her firm. You can count the number of republicans at her firm on one hand so she may go next year.
To build on Roger’s Ford example, there was a trade tarriff war that is exactly applicable today. The US wanted to protect domestic small truck producers, so we tarriffed imported Toyota’s, Nissans, etc. The Asian countries responded by taxing our agricultural exports, specifically chickens.
It was called the Chicken tax and 30 years later Ford decided to close their Ranger plant in MN and move production to Australia. Now, the product isn’t even available in the US market.
