As more bikers are released from McLennan County Jail, the accounts of what led up to the deadly shootout at Twin Peaks come into sharper conflict with each other.
Police and prosecutors have painted the May 17 shooting as a clash of rival gangs primarily the Bandidos and Cossacks motorcycle clubs that were armed and prepared to settle scores in a public place.
Waco police have said more than 300 weapons found at the scene show there was criminal intent among the 177 who were jailed in the immediate aftermath of the shooting.
(It) indicates to the public that these are not clubs, these are criminal gangs that came here with the intent or anticipation of violence, Waco police Sgt. Patrick Swanton said in the week after the shooting.
Bikers and their attorneys give different accounts of the cause of the conflict, depending on their sympathies toward one group or another.

The stupidity that occurred wasn’t bringing/carrying weapons to whatever event was taking place, the unforgivable stupidity was the drunk, murdering idiot that couldn’t be a man except when riding his loud bike, overreacting to another fool that said something stupid or was looking for a gun fight. I guess both had to prove how manly they were, trash the second amendment and cause the deaths of 9 people.
I think some federal agency was the
one in charge up there.
Janet Reno “Justice Department” administered “Justice” in a George Orwellian way.
Good to see that someone else caught that also.
Janet Reno was in charge
I read reports of lots of semi-automatic assault rifle fire. I wondered to myself how practical that would be to bring on a bike.
McLennan County prosecutors said this week at a hearing that video from the scene clearly shows Bandidos executing Cossacks and Cossacks executing Bandidos, some at point-blank range and that Cossacks stationed on the patio jumped over the railings to join the fray.
I've seen people saying the cops slaughtered the bikers.
Clendennen said he didnt know about any kind of violent feud going on between the Cossacks and Bandidos, though he knew there was some rivalry.
Right....That day? I'm sure it took a while for them to get out of the parking lot at biker church, so the day had barely started.
The cops must really have some reason not to release the video. Trying to turn the gangs? Playing some game with them? Maybe the gift horse they were hoping for
On earlier threads it was noted and cited that Sgt. Swanson [sp?] got a commendation for his actions there.
Bearing arms now equals “criminal intent.”

That is ridiculous having to wear a long sleeved shirt in Texas in the middle of July......(roll eyes)

“Sons of Anarchy” showed us that the ‘gang’ had a trailing Van and on occasion a tow truck (guess to make some spare change if they happed upon an accident)? (grin)
And, I’d ask how many of them were actual weapons, not just imaginary ones.
For instance, I have a jack handle, folding shovel, tire iron, and a couple of screwdrivers in my car (off the top of my head). The cops would call them “weapons”, but I call them “tools”.
Something about this whole thing doesn’t smell right. My guess is that we know about 10% of the facts.
Including the nail clippers?
“And some were nail clippers (not kidding).”
Bikers,,,,with grooming tools. Yeah,,, sure.
So ... the notorious American Legion Riders “gang” was there too. Didn’t know my club was in attendance with all the other “gangs” Yup ...had this been in Arizona I would most certainly had been there

And don’t forget the wallet chains (also not kidding).
Oh and just for the record ... I ALWAYS conceal carry (legally) when I ride
Likely nothing since that one involved the FBI and ATF.
Possible but he has been with the Waco Police dept. since 1980. The Davidian
thing was under the direction of the feds. I guess some local enforcement may
have been used for some misc. activities.
I can’t say. all I know is what I read on FR. I did not even click on the link. I just read what the poster wrote.
“Id like to have a detailed account of which weapons were fired recently, and a list of police weapons that were fired at the incident. That would include all weapons carried by Federal agents.”
***************************************************************************************************
They SHOULD HAVE taken an inventory of all armed police and federal agents present and created a record of the serial numbers of each of their firearms. At a minimum, the government weapons that had been fired should have been taken into custody, secured and kept as potential evidence. Those weapons should have been sent off for ballistic testing along with all weapons that were confiscated from all of the detainees.
Do I think that was all done? Not for a New York second. This whole thing reeks and the smell is getting worse.

What makes you think this latest Waco thing with the bikers wasn’t possibly “under the direction of” or “coordinated by”? Do you think the fed agents on scene BEFORE the initiation of action were standing around picking their noses?
