BALTIMORE —City police need help to identify a person of interest in the homicide of a Baltimore rapper.
Authorities said 25-year-old Leedell Brown died after he was severely attacked inside the Hott Spott Lounge in downtown Baltimore.
Hott Spott shut down for alcoholic beverage law violation. Brown's family said the sketch is one step closer to justice.
Police released a sketch of a person of interest in the Brown's beating death inside the Hott Spott Lounge on Guilford Avenue in February.
"He was just a good guy. I don't really have the words. He was my brother, my little brother," Brown's sister said.
Brown's sister didn't want to show her face on camera or share her name because the suspect is still on the loose. She said Brown had a two-year old son that no longer has a father.
"It was a lot of people in that place. It was enough people for someone to say something, to come forward, to assist us, to try to help us," Brown's sister said.
The family said Brown often went to open mic nights at the Hott Spott. His family says he was a well-known Baltimore rapper who went by the name Mamoo.
"He really wanted to make it. That was his passion to rap," Brown's sister said.
Brown's sister also said he got into rapping about four years ago. He wanted to do something positive with his life.
Now his family is left grieving and wondering why someone would want to hurt him. They're hoping someone recognizes the sketch and calls police.

One of my mom’s friends’ daughter is a WNBA and Olympic coach. She does okay.

Looks like 4 murder charges by early 2000’s plus attempted.
