Katherine Chappell, 29, was attacked, bitten, mauled and killed by a 9-year-old African lioness this past Monday, June 1. She wasnt on a real safari, but rather driving through South Africas Lion Park to photograph and see wild lions up close and personal at this popular tourist attraction.

Ha! I missed that. In any event, it didn’t take the park long to figure out which side of the window the idiots were on so they got rid of the animals completely before something like this happened.
Truth be told, I wouldn’t trust the window glass to keep me safe.
Some wildlife lovers just cannot embrace the concept of “too close”. :-)
I’ve done the same thing, only we were on a Harley. I shut it down and froze. there was not much else to do. I didn’t enjoy the experience.... and didn’t bother with the camera....

You make a good point. These folks watch cartoons & people dressed in animal outfits on tv where the animals talk & do all the things human beings do. - Their kids grow up thinking animals are human beings. - Animals are ANIMALS, not humans. “Respect” isn’t really the correct word here; “reality” is more like it, and people need to accept reality.

That had to be a lot scarier than seated inside an SUV.
Reminds me of a Hollywood star who objected to playing a gladiator with real lions as part of the film. He was assured that the lions were trained, and they had their teeth removed for safety.
But who wants to be gummed to death, he protested.
