Katherine Chappell, 29, was attacked, bitten, mauled and killed by a 9-year-old African lioness this past Monday, June 1. She wasnt on a real safari, but rather driving through South Africas Lion Park to photograph and see wild lions up close and personal at this popular tourist attraction.

I did read that she was there to "help" the lions. Whatever that means. There are too many folks who think they can reason with and change animals. Kinda like trying to use logic with a hard core lib. It don't work and if you don't keep your distance, you just might end up as dinner.

Pet chimps eating peoples faces off, stingrays stabbing people in the heart, pet deer goring their owners, golfers attacked by alligators, insane, irresponsible tourists being gored and flung by bull bison in Yellowstone, neighbors dogs attacking, mauling and killing kids at play, elk and deer goring people in the suburbs, bears eating campers, wolves chasing kids home from the bus stop, coyotes snatching infants from porches, mountain lions killing cyclists, and the bizarre list of dangerous wildlife encounters goes on and on and on.That does it! I'm not coming out from under these covers ever again!

In the 70s, King’s Dominion here in Virginia had a drive-thru lion country safari. I saw people get out of their car to take photos.. Wow!

"I saved you," cried the woman
"And you've bitten me, but why?
You know your bite is poisonous and now I'm going to die"
"Oh shut up, silly woman," said the reptile with a grin
"You knew damn well I was a snake before you took me in

I guess it could be argued that she “helped” at least one lioness.

As she looked through her lens, she thought the lion was getting bigger because she had accidentally mashed the zoom button.

Did you live near there when a male lion got out and ended up in the median of I-95?
I think it happened in the late 80s/early 90s.

I’ve sat in my stopped car more than a few times out west as a herd of buffalo passed by on both sides. Why anybody with a shred of intelligence would get out of their car and try to close to one of those immense beasts is beyond me.

These incidents are the harvest of hubris. When will liberals get it through their heads that wild animals, rainforests, and the world in general DON’T NEED their “help?”

Yup. When humans time is up, the erf will simply do what she does best. Take over and adjust as needed. Shake off our remnants like dead fleas.
