WikiLeaks is offering $100,000 for the text of President Obama's trans-Pacific trade deal.
The transparency organization released a video on Tuesday asking for donations to crowdsource the funds.
Labor unions and progressives like Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) have heavily criticized the administration for not being transparent as it seeks to negotiate the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP). The administration has said that the TPP negotiations are confidential for national security reasons.
Unions oppose TPP a 12-state economic agreement arguing that it would put U.S. employees in competition with low-wage workers. Supporters argue that it would create better workplace and environmental standards worldwide.
Obama is asking Congress to grant him "fast-track" authority to pass TPP without an open-amendment process. The House is expected to vote on fast track, or Trade Promotion Authority, later this month after the Senate passed it before the Memorial Day recess.

Anything that this administration seeks confidentiality for is generally not in the best interests of the US.
Republicans in the US Senate voted to pass this, with many Democrats being opposed. It's a perfect example of how little they care about anything but their corporate and globalist sponsors.
To give Obama a victory he didn't have to have is beyond comprehension.

Ummmm, isn’t that a violation of the interstate trade clause in the Constitution?
Such trade is not reserved for a “conventicle” of States, rather, the federal government must regulate the activity throughout all (50? / 57?) states.
Been going on since Lincoln shilled for the railroads which were the only big corporations of the time.
“We have to pay them to find out what’s in it.”
The economic benefits of the actual trade pact might be real - but the secrecy is clearly hiding something very poisonous. They appear to be serving us a plate full of dirt from the garden with whipped cream on top and talking about nothing but how sweet it is.
Just hand us a properly-labeled can of Reddi-Whip so we can see for ourselves. :)
Except for the banks.
Oh you bet they are. Just not for you and me.
You only elect and pay them, Peasant; you’re not allowed to know what they do.
I wonder what little Easter ggs were snuck into the language of the TPP that serve the interests of the Agenda 21 socialists and the NWO. And you know this so-called “Freedom USA Act that’s being touted as Obama’s removal of the Patriot Act and bulk collection of data is BS too. I wonder what they’re replacing it with? I fear its something far worse. Its oretty bad when you have to constantly suspect the motives of your own presidnt becausr he’s betrayed us so many times in the past and given us plenty of reasons to question his judgment and motives.
Crap, now I’m in agreement with Elizabeth Warren AND Julian Assange?? Satan must be out shopping for a parka.
First, this was written and worked to be an advantage for certain non-US industries to have an angle of entry into the US....which had no Senators or Congressmen involved (they didn’t have a chance to get lobbyists into their corner....the lobbyists went straight to the State Department (under Hillary) and worked this deal with them.
Second....US companies who wanted an inside to European trading....had to pay off both the players within the EU and the White House....to get their special access.
Third...the companies from both the EU and the US who didn’t pay to get access....are screwed. They will lose business as time goes by.
Fourth, if you notice the Euro-to-dollar exchange rate....the past six months it’s gone better for the Europeans getting a position to sell in the US....than the US getting an angle in Europe (shocker, ah?).
Fifth and final...heavy anxiety exists in Germany over the deal because no one knows the full dimensions....they’ve kept it secret even here.
I am curious as to how the libs will react to this? Normally, they jump for joy when Bradley Manning or whatever traitor is giving up classified information that hurts our national security. Now they want information on a suspicious trade deal led by their dear leader.
The Japanese PM openly said it was about the “free movement of peoples”. Fill in the blanks.
Whether it passes or not depends on the Tea Party contingent in the House. Boehner is engaged in all out bullying right now.
Lower-case “state” means a country. Upper-case “State” means a region/province.
