Climate change is HELPING Africa because greenhouse gases are bringing rain to areas that have suffered drought for decades, says new study

Climate change means rain is returning to previously drought-stricken areas of Africa exactly 30 years since Live Aid raised £150million to help starving people there, a new study has revealed.

A severe lack of rainfall during the 1970s and 80s led to a persistent drought and famine, killing more than 100,00 people in countries such as Ethiopia.

**SNIP**

But now research by scientists at the National Centre for Atmospheric Science at the University of Reading, has shown how increased greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, which have caused climate change, have triggered a return of crucial seasonal rains to the Sahel region.

The researchers used a supercomputer climate simulator to study different influences on North African rainfall.

Well, if a computer says it's happening, it's happening.

But it's more likely that King Obongo directed the HAARP weather machine to divert rainfall from Kalifornia to Africa.

More rain in Africa means more mouths to feed in a world that doesn’t have enough resources. Better that Africa remain the way it is.*

I’ve never understood the hysteria over this issue. I can particularly remember during the year that saw Hurricanes Charley and Ivan, the rains we got up here in Ontario from those systems had farmers having an absolutely perfect year for corn and tomatoes and other crops. Years that are a little drier than normal are great for grapes, if I am not mistaken. So while it is still very debatable over the extent of human involvement concerning the causes of current weather phenomena, why can’t people just accept things like this in the meantime?

Obama won’t like that as he doesn’t think Africa should have the technological advances the west has.

Never forget the lessons learned over the last several years: THESE GUYS CHEAT. It could be bias in the model or crap for data. Their goal is to get the outcome that politicians need to push their Marxist plans to keep the Climate Change Money Machine rolling along and to take over everything.

And always remember: We are talking about the amount of Carbon Dioxide in the atmosphere. Right now that stands at about 400 parts per MILLION. And that is supposed change the rainfall in Africa when it increases a few percent. I don't think so.

So-called progressives don’t want African children to be vaccinated or receive basic health-care either, so more of them will die. What “progressives” overlook is that Africans have so many children because of the high death rates. When death rates are decreased through better health care and vaccinations, people stop having as many children. This has happened in every developed country.

I think we need to assist Africa to develop to first world status. Then, African people can invest their resources in 2 or 3 children, have a better lifestyle, and worry about keeping the environment clean—which are all features of first world, not third world, countries.

Then, why is it that California is in a drought?
It’s all the same climate influence (CO2), right?

Love this

They control the dialog. If they say it enough times, with such conviction, well, it must be true.

Well, awesome. That should mean we can stop pouring billions of dollars into their countries. After all, we’ve been sending them aid for decades to keep them from starving and dying from various diseases and social ills, as well as assist in building their infrastructure. They should be all set now to take their place on the world stage as a modern, educated, progressive first world country. What? Oh, right - all that still hasn’t done the trick. Probably just a few billion more and that’ll do it, right? Pfft.

Remember, most of the people who died were forced to live in those areas by their tyrannical rulers. Greenhouse effect, global warming, climate change, had nothing to do with their deaths.

So climate change is returning rain to areas that regularly had rain until 30 years ago? Maybe it’s just a cyclical thing. Maybe climate change isn’t even happening. When the Sahara greens over, it would be climate change.

They don’t want them to have enough food either.

Life saving GMO seeds are banned in all but 4 African countries. These are wheat seeds which could save millions of lives each year.

Those countries are progressing (I’m using the word in its real sense, not as a euphemism for socialism). The civil wars which killed hundreds of thousands of people in various countries, for instance, Liberia and Sierra Leone, have finally ended. It will take time to rebuild from the damage that those wars caused. Children are going to school, vaccination campaigns are reaching more children than ever.

Progress goes slow, because the problems in Africa have been simmering for a LONG time. It did not help that in the 18th and 19th centuries, Africans were seen as free labor to be exploited, or that the natural resources of Africa were seen as belonging to whomever had the means to harvest and ship them (without any compensation to the people who live there). Some of the resource theft still occurs. Africa is also full of diseases of all kinds, which, unfortunately, disable survivors both physically and intellectually.

With each problem being addressed, the Africans come closer to the modern world. It will take a while, though.
