It's Turkey.

I hate when the excerpt cuts off the punchline.

"Over in Russia, they're drawing up plans to build the world's biggest aircraft carrier, a 100,000-ton beast that can carry 100 combat aircraft. China's building one, two, or maybe even four aircraft carriers."

The world is arming up. It's almost like there's some sort of perceived power vacuum and everyone is trying to either fill in the gap or take advantage of the gap.

Odd, isn't it?

High altitude loitering drones will render aircraft carriers useless.

The U.S. isn't doing squat.

Building a carrier is one thing. Staffing and maintaining a carrier group for effective combat operations is quite another.

Only the U.S. and Great Britain have the decades of naval experience necessary to carry out the latter.

Not that we should be complacent but wanted to point that out.

I guess a carrier deck will be ideal for all the muzzies on board to roll out their little prayer rugs to kneel down on when they face Mecca. That’s one pic I’d like to see.

Thailand has a tiny carrier that they cannot afford to sail except for the King on vacation...
