Sunday on CBSs Face The Nation, potential Republican presidential candidate former Gov. Jeb Bush (R-FL) said even though his pro-immigration stance is at odds with the Republican Party base, he is not going to back down.
Bush said, Im not going to back down on views on immigration, for example. I think we have immigration problem. Its a system thats broken. The legal system is broken. We need to narrow family petitioning expand economic immigrants. We need to enforce the law. We cant use this, keep having this be political issue when were missing opportunity to create growth that everybody could benefit from.

And I’m “Not Backing Down” on not voting for him!
Principle is a very difficult thing to surrender.
Facts, however, are very stubborn things. You cannot simply make up your own, as needed. Certain realities prevail.
One is, that failure to control the border has led to a degree of lawlessness not seen since perhaps the time of Prohibition. And not just organized crime running rampant, but highly organized and well-armed crime, pressing into areas formerly regarded as respectable, and damaging our youth while following the course of perverting the system of education that now wracks our land. There has come over the entire country a great lassitude, a failure to enforce the laws that now exist, and an intense campaign to demean and neutralize the very law enforcement that is so desperately needed to stave off the widening chaos.
Immigration can be good. But like a forceful flow of water, it must be channeled and applied to good effect, not merely to flood and destroy all that lies in its path.
Every once in a while a Country Without Borders guy says something right. The rest of it makes no sense as timing or foundation or building block or solution.
He’s still letting “little Jeb” do his “thinking” for him!
You’re just a democrat wannabe!
/lesser evil robot
He’s an idiot and broken record. He has NO PROOF bringing in low IQ idiots from Central and South America “grows” or economy. They are a drain on the welfare system, school system, heathcare system, etc.
Moron!
If that is his idea of immigration reform, he needs to just forget about announcing his candidacy and go home to Florida-he obviously does not listen to people when they say we are all tired of mojados, period...
buh bye
He is as establishment as they get. He is part of the one-party system shared almost openly between the DNC and the GOP.
Until I hear him fully espouse security FIRST and THEN speak of proper reform to those who would obey the rules he can expect me to work against him at every turn.
And I’m not going to vote for you, PERIOD, you ham-faced traitor.
Good, do not pass GO, do not collect $1,000,000.
Go directly to the dust bin of history.

Agreed with that part. The rest of his plans, however, are just his usual wish for illegal-alien amnesty and more foreign workers
But at least in that interview, Jeb didn't repeat his bizarre scheme to transfer tens of thousands of Syrian and Iraqi Muslims into Detroit to "revitalize" it.
Bottom line Jeb: The GOP rank-and-file hate you. Go away.
We know, Jeb; we know. Now, get lost!
I think he’s doing the right thing. If he truly believes that this is the right course for the country, and the course the voters will approve, then he absolutely ought to be perfectly clear about where he stands.
LOL! Ham-faced traitor. You are amazing.
I'll give him credit for honesty.
That's as far as it goes, however.
I agree. “Ham-faced traitor” is epic and deserves some kind of Freeper award.
> Jeb Bush: Im Not Going to Back Down on Immigration
Well, I’m not going to vote for you, either.
So there.
I’m not going to back down on illegal immigration either Jeb because if I do I have to open my wallet even wider and see America turn into a $hithole infinitely faster
