Am I the only person in America who was paying 20-55% percent increases in insurance prices annually, starting in about 2006? I mean HOW HIGH can this go? We are now paying a full four times what we paid eight years ago in insurance premiums.

Due to my Health Insurance Premium Costs, we will probably be forced to sell our existing home next Year and move into a small Condo. I have literally decimated my Retirement Funds.
Having Leukemia for the past Ten Years, I cannot take the chance moving into a Bronze Catastrophic Plan. The Copayments and Deductibles under a Bronze Plan on any future Chemotherapy Treatments would Bankrupt us.
We are currently paying $1,900 a Month for the two of us. I can hardly wait to see where we will end up. In December 2013, we were paying $1,200 a Month.
That Plan was cancelled because it didn’t “qualify” under Obamacare. Had to go back to my Employer Retirement Plan to get a new Policy, which is pretty much set at COBRA Rates.
The good news is that I decided to take my SS Early (age 62), so it should cover the increase that is sure to come. Of course, that wasn’t the Plan, but you have to do what you can do.
The only light at the end of the tunnel is getting on Medicare in three years if I live that long. I just have to get by until then, although my Wife won’t qualify for Medicare for five years.
Never thought my IRA money would be spent before I hit 65, but it looks like it might well be a possibility.
And the Republicans still do not have a replacement plan beyond talking points.
