The cost of Obamacare could rise for millions of Americans next year, with one insurer proposing a 50 percent hike in premiums, fueling the controversy about just how “affordable” the Affordable Care Act really is.
The eye-popping 50 percent hike by New Mexico insurer Blue Cross Blue Shield is an outlier, and state officials may not allow it to go through. But health insurance experts are predicting that premiums will rise more significantly in 2016 than in the first two years of Obamacare exchange coverage. In 2015, for example, premiums increased by an average of 5.4 percent, according to PwC’s Health Research Institute.

Due to my Health Insurance Premium Costs, we will probably be forced to sell our existing home next Year and move into a small Condo. I have literally decimated my Retirement Funds.
Having Leukemia for the past Ten Years, I cannot take the chance moving into a Bronze Catastrophic Plan. The Copayments and Deductibles under a Bronze Plan on any future Chemotherapy Treatments would Bankrupt us.
We are currently paying $1,900 a Month for the two of us. I can hardly wait to see where we will end up. In December 2013, we were paying $1,200 a Month.
That Plan was cancelled because it didn’t “qualify” under Obamacare. Had to go back to my Employer Retirement Plan to get a new Policy, which is pretty much set at COBRA Rates.
The good news is that I decided to take my SS Early (age 62), so it should cover the increase that is sure to come. Of course, that wasn’t the Plan, but you have to do what you can do.
The only light at the end of the tunnel is getting on Medicare in three years if I live that long. I just have to get by until then, although my Wife won’t qualify for Medicare for five years.
Never thought my IRA money would be spent before I hit 65, but it looks like it might well be a possibility.
And the Republicans still do not have a replacement plan beyond talking points.
Well hopefully I will be bale to find a doctor who will accept cash as I age. if I can’t, then my life will likely be shorter.
But I ask myself do I want to live to be 90, or do I want to live free? Sadly, in America, those questions don’t seem to both be answerable with a yes more and more thanks to the lust for power and control of our government.
But then I think to myself of a girl I knew when I was much younger. She was my step cousin, her name was Anna.
She died at the age of 4 from inoperable brain cancer. She had a very short life. Her number came up much, much to soon, and she was a real sweet heart.
By the grace of God I have had 40 more years in this world than she did, so for that I am most thankful.
Every single day is a true blessing from God.

Liberals are the enemy. I have disassociated myself from every liberal I possibly can... can help but work with a few, but I’m surely not friendly with them.
I make it a point to shaft every liberal any chance I get: liberals are traitors.
I wish I could see all my relatives’ faces when the rates go through the roof. But I won’t because I don’t go around them. I don’t volunteer to be disrespected.
I don’t know about the rest of the country but around Houston they’re opening a bunch of outlying clinics. When I go there is no waiting. My clinic could probably handed 3 or 4 times the number of patients they handle. I have to wonder if these clinics will be used when single payer kicks in.
That is very sad I never would want to live my life in a echo chamber where everyone believed and thought as I did. the fact that someone can hold a totally apposing viewpoint I find intriguing and keeps me intellectually honest on what ever position I take on something. and something crazy happens every once in awhile I find that a position I have on something is not a good one to take and usually it takes someone like a liberal to make me see that. it does not happen often and for the most part liberals don’t think through the unintended consequences of there positions on things and are short sighted on everything but most that are not politicians are nice people.

yes I call that liberal a friend. I am very carful on who I give the title of friend to. I feel you are who you surround yourself with. Walter my friend is very liberal he is an atheist and I hope on election days he is to sick to vote but it does not mean he is evil it just means that he has bought into a lot of the out right lying coming from the media and from politicians. there are a lot of conservatives I cant stand and on election day I pray to god nothing gets in the way of there voting. just because some one is conservative does not mean that they are nice person that I want to know. I have met many conservatives’ that in my opinion are swine because of how they treat there fellow man. I have also met many liberals that I felt the same way about. the big question I have for you is how are you going to convince someone how wrong they are in there view point if you are so busy hating them and trying to screw them over. A good solid conservative takes every chance he has to point out the fallacy of modern American liberalism.
