The cost of Obamacare could rise for millions of Americans next year, with one insurer proposing a 50 percent hike in premiums, fueling the controversy about just how affordable the Affordable Care Act really is.
The eye-popping 50 percent hike by New Mexico insurer Blue Cross Blue Shield is an outlier, and state officials may not allow it to go through. But health insurance experts are predicting that premiums will rise more significantly in 2016 than in the first two years of Obamacare exchange coverage. In 2015, for example, premiums increased by an average of 5.4 percent, according to PwCs Health Research Institute.

This is going along as most of us thought it would. Single payer is the goal with government as the only provider. Burn this thing down! Just look at the Brits if you want to know where we’re going.
Single user Givernment provided health care!!!........
WHAT COULD GO WRONG?.. ((( DUH )))
That’s OK. The government still has a gun to your head to buy it or pay a penalty.
But But Buttt.. Mitch and Bonehead stand with Obammy.
It must be a good deal. right?
They could drive a tank through my living room and I’m still not going to buy it.
OBAMAO CARE was never about getting more people insured. It was always about destroying the middle class by moving the irresponsible, the drug addled and the dependent classes (ObaMao people) to the front of the line by forcing the middle class to subsidize it.

I’m with you on that but the sad part is being forced to go without any coverage because of this insanity.
That’s the flip side of the coin.
I told one of my liberal friends this healthcare plan will make healthcare more expensive. he looked at me and said that he did not care because it will force government to step in and take control of all aspects of health care.
Dittos.
I just look at it like this.
Whenever my number is called, then it’s time for me to go.
And when I do go, I am going to go a free man.
I am not going to allow my government to order me into the poor house.
As soon as I accept the premise that they can order me what to do or else, then they win, and that’s not going to happen.
LMAO!! 50% yes ONLY 50% This thing is the mother of all disasters, ISIS only wishes they could do this kind of damage to the country. I’ve been saying this from the start, this is not about healthcare at all, it’s about destroying the country, it IS a terrorist attack in every sense of the word upon the people of the United states. They are going to continue to raise the premiums until even those who can afford it are going to say forget it, it’s just not worth it. Anything that hurts this country, you can be damn sure this administration will do it while the elites sit back and yawn. This ENTIRE Congress is made up of nothing but TRAITORS! The people should storm Washington and remove every last one of them and put them on trial.
LOL! Sounds just like the liberals I know, living in complete fantasy land.
That means they may cease doing business in that state.

I'll predict 100-200% before it's all over....unless it's killed by the courts or Congreff.
Am I the only person in America who was paying 20-55% percent increases in insurance prices annually, starting in about 2006? I mean HOW HIGH can this go? We are now paying a full four times what we paid eight years ago in insurance premiums.
Government has done such a stellar job so far handling healthcare. Take, e.g., the VA healthcare system and how well government did setting up the websites.
He'll love it when government tells him he can't have the medicine or the surgery he needs for months or years - or at all because he is too old.
No, you’re not the only one. After my policy was discontinued for two years in a row, my premium went up 60% if I kept the same “silver” policy. Couldn’t afford it so stepped down to a “bronze” which has a ridiculously high deductible and doesn’t cover very much. It’s basically catastrophic.
I think a lot of companies who insure their employees are just eating the increases. So many people get free or subsidized healthcare, there isn’t a groundswell of opposition. That was the idea from the get go.
