BREAKING NEWS – Secretary of State John Kerry was flown to a Swiss hospital Sunday following a bike crash outside Geneva, where he had been holding nuclear talks with Iran’s foreign minister.
State Department spokesman John Kirby said Kerry likely suffered a leg injury in the accident. Kerry was in stable condition.
The accident occurred near Scionzier, France, outside the Swiss border. Paramedics and a physician were on the scene with his motorcade at the time.
Kerry was transported to Geneva’s main hospital HUG, where he was being evaluated, Kirby said. A paramedic traveling with his motorcade immediately examined Kerry after his bike apparently his a curb, causing the fall, Kirby said.
X-rays were being taken of Kerry’s right leg
It was unclear how long Kerry will be in the hospital four and what the accident means for the rest of his four-nation trip.

Good point. Any child knows how to hop the curb and which ones not to attempt. He wasn't looking where he was going. But I expect no less from an Obama Sec of State.

I happened to have a morning paper with me and one of them had a face just like Kerry, who had made a visit to the newspaper's home town and gotten a front page spread.
I held the paper up beside the doppelganger horse and asked the young lady if she didn't see a strong resemblance. "Please sir," she replied, "Don't insult my horse."
Those Iranians really screwed up. Recruiting a suicide curb to jump out in front of Kerry was a move intended to intimidate Lurch. Instead they damaged their (second) biggest ally.

The NYT story on this mentions at the end that he has been on 356 trips as SOS and has spent roughly a year on the road (cumulatively). Can you imagine what the rolled up cost of his travel has been so far? And given the wrongheadedness of his efforts, the excess is outrageous. Break your other leg and stay off the road!
It would be curious to juxtapose the French Health Care “System” vs Switzerland’s. Obviously the Swiss System is better or they wouldn’t have flown him their. Hmmm, another do as I say not as I do? Perhaps...

Another thing that will happen is that because of this, the Iran nuke talks will be pushed back beyond the June 30th(?) deadline, with BHO using the excuse that Kerry can’t personally participate.
For the Iranians, this is an ideal thing to have happen as their sole mission is to stretch the “talks” out for as long as they can.
