I disagree. God calls it an abomination and it ultimately is stealing from God. Homosexuals do not have children and steal from God the thing He created humans for, people to populate Heaven and spend eternity with Him.
Does this include mosques?
Etched in stone is it?
If God was so adamant that the world know that same sex desires are no longer sinful (and by extension, polyamory and shacking up) wouldn't the message be broadcast by persons less personally invested in seeing this change?
Louis Foxwell: “Their joy is in outrage and immorality.”
That’s the real issue. Most of them probably don’t feel much joy. Why? Many likely know in their hearts that they do detestable things, but they put the blame on Christians. If only we’d shut up about sin, they wouldn’t feel guilty.
Their allies blame us, too. Homosexuals wouldn’t have any problems if we Christians stopped the guilt trips. If no one told homosexuals it’s wrong, the suicides, substance abuse, diseases, etc. would stop. That is a lie as much as saying homosexuality isn’t a sin.
This remains to be seen, but I would suspect not.
goars sheep,...maybe not
Ding Ding! No more calls, folks. We have a winner.

“So, whats next to be taken off the sin list? Lying? Theft? Murder?”
Seems you’re a bit behind the curve as to what being a real Democrat is all about.
My Church most absolutely has a sin list although it will never be complete. Homosexual conduct is on the list.
Frank Buni:
Please replace Christian with Muslim, and American with Arabi, and re-release the article.
Pretty please.
Fat chance, they have.
They are asking the churches to negate the New Testament.
Um...I don’t think so.
In other news Bill Clinton is demanding that lying and adultery be taken off the sin list while we’re at it...
The prescience of Robert Bork. We are indeed Slouching Toward Gammorah.
You must be a Catholic...they have mortal and venial sins codified ...
As a Protestant, most denominations hold that all sin is equal in the eyes of God...though some have lists...
So I guess the article was complaining mostly about the Catholic Church, which is not surprising at all...
What happens when good people do nothing...
Some people did (do) persecute homosexuals. Anecdotally, the persecutors are not Christian. I mean, Christians do say homosexuality is sinful, but Christians are generally humble in the sense that we were once sinners. Many of us did all sorts of sinful things before we became born again.
Christ is our example, and he didn’t go around pointing fingers and screaming at sinners, including homosexuals. He did, however, tell us to repent and sin no more. We aren’t perfect, but we’re no longer slaves to sin. We’ve been freed by Christ’s sacrifice on our behalf.
This means we also don’t have any reason to boast about our salvation. We didn’t do anything to earn it. It was given to us as a gift.
“Like you wrote, Christs Church has no option. They have no authority to remove homosexuality from the list of sins. Christ himself probably couldnt do that, because the Son of God obeys God the Father and carries out the Fathers will.”
Correct. Christ paid the penalty for the sins of those who believe, but he never promoted or instructed people to sin. Doing so would lead people down the path of destruction under the spiritual bondage of satin.
Satin also knows scripture and is making every effort to rewrite/alter God’s word for his own agenda. One example of this is the gay bible homosexuals promote.

In addition to Christianity, Orthodox and some branches of Judaism will be a problem.
muslims though, are allowed taqiyya, and pedophilia is allowed by their so-called prophet so basically, anything goes so long as the shoes are off and the butt goes up at “prayer” in the mosque. ...That is, until they gain sufficient power over everyone else.
