The rebel group that has seized power in Yemen has taken at least four U.S. citizens prisoner, according to U.S. officials who said that efforts to secure the Americans’ release have faltered.
One of the prisoners had been cleared for release in recent days only to have that decision reversed by members of the Houthi rebellion that toppled the U.S.-backed government earlier this year and now controls most levers of power in Yemen.

Actually I believe most of the Americans remaining in Yemen were private citizens there for work.

After things fell apart there were 400 to 600 Americans there looking for a way out and our government determined that it was too risky to send American troops in to get them.
Probably “risky” to the Iran nuke deal.

Obama doesn’t care who they are. Our Ambassador who was murdered in Libya while Obama played games and Hillary slept was a flaming, gay liberal, but that didn’t do him any good, not even with the news media.
Our so called ambassador was illegally running weapons to islamist enemies of America. I don’t see his death as anything other than justice. The marines on the other hand should have been saved.
We do not know who they were working for, but the bottom line is what their captors think. That is all that matters now. Many Americans are being held right now under suspicions of spying all over the world. Gee, this mafia run cartel government employing spies and deviants ? Only through a cut out company of course.
For all we know, the Persian Lizard Queen had the marines killed. We do know that deadly mortor attack was too accurate for regular mortor fire. The claim was military based attack. Egyptian regulars ? Libyan regulars ? Who else could it have been ? Iranian ?
