Former Rhode Island Gov. Lincoln Chafee will officially enter the presidential race on June 3, a source with knowledge of his plans told POLITICO.
He’ll make the announcement in a speech he’s scheduled to deliver next Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. at the George Mason Center for Politics & Foreign Relations in Arlington, Virginia. Following the announcement, Chafee will travel to New Hampshire on June 4 for a previously scheduled event with local Democrats in Grafton County.

Chaffee is what we used to call a ‘wedge’. That’s engineer-speak for ‘a simple tool’.

If that’s the case, it might be a good idea for Mr. Lincoln to avoid theaters and actors “until further notice”.

At least Paulsen’s campaigns were funny.
If that is the case then I hope he runs as a democrat. That will be interesting to see him, Hillary and Sid Blumenthal battle it out for the nomination.
Chafee is married though, with three kids, so it seems that limp justly refers more to his politics than his sexuality.
I’d like to hear his best....

Chafee will run as a moderate Democrat and tout his former RINO credentials as proof that he can work across the aisle. If he gains traction with the the Democrats main constituency (The MSM), he has a chance to beat Hillary and Bernie, if another ex-RINO (Jim Webb) doesn’t run.
The voters will love that “I am just about to cry” look on Chafee’s face. He is such a sensitive man!

Webb is a Democrat though he served as Sec. of the Navy under Reagan so he couldn’t actually be a RINO....
