Yes she did. The result of her disastrous "leadership" was that tens of thousands of HP and Compaq employees lost their jobs, as Fiorina took two of the biggest names in Enterprise Class computing solutions, munched them together and tried making them into a consumer products type of company.
DUMB, DUMB, DUMB, DUMB.
She's not fit to run a Gas Station IMO, much less a country.
Still, it might be entertaining to see her and Hitlery go at it.........
If Fiorina had the guts to layoff dead wood at HP, may be she will also have the guts to cut the out of control federal spending.
Rubbish. As CEO she took the hit but she had the HP Board behind every move she made. Find a new excuse.
It was the dot-com bubble, everyone in the industry was shedding jobs, the ones that didn't, disappeared. She had the guts to lay people off, and that is BADLY needed at the White House. And HP is still going.
Somewhere in this is no mention that if she were to create a 39 or 49, I forget, honestly, behemoth of compaq and hp, she would collect a bonus from both. We (the accused deadwood that we’re accused of being here on FR) watched her collect her bonus by adding cpq and hp gross sales together and made her bonus. What was that? About $19 mil? Andrew C. got that running hud into the ground. And enough to run a campaign for gov of ny. For the rest of you deniers, did you know that hp paid for her cross-country shipping of her sailboat? Ironic that it may cross-country ship yet again.
She was a rock star at AT&T and Lucent which is why HP recruited her. She had the bad luck of being head of HP when the dot com bubble burst. There are a lot of companies no longer with us but HP is still here so I don’t think Carly was all that terrible. She shook things up at HP and shaking things up tends to piss people off.
