The e-commerce company announces free, same-day shipping on over 1 million items in 14 metro areas across the US.
Over 1 million items will be available for free, same-day shipments -- a fraction of the 20 million available in the US for two-day deliveries. Orders must total more than $35 to qualify. The purchase must also be made before noon, or it will arrive the next day. The service will initially be available in 14 metro areas across the US.

Amazon hasn’t announced this. I’m a Prime subscriber.
Are you in one of the 14 cities?
Click on this link and scroll down just beneath the video and put in your zip code.
Found it - imbedded in the Amazon site. My own “metropolitan area” isn’t included.
We just signed up for Prime last week. Didn’t hear about this.
LOL, Baltimore(aka Baltimordor.)
Soon they will deliver before I order.
We’re not listed either. No surprise. We live in Pennsyltucky!
...oddly enough, mostly all liberal shitholes I’d rather NOT be living in, thank you...
Yeah, pretty much all places where you would never leave a package on the doorstep (and hope you get out alive).
Mine is included, and I haven’t received any notice about the service. We’re one of the new areas being added.
Baltimordor makes our local ghetto $h*+hole Wilkinsburg (We’llkillyinzburg) look like a quaint small town.
do Prime members get free Kindle Unlimited?
I’ve kinda lost interest in the prime membership. I’ve noticed that over time, I am gradually not getting stuff in 2 days anymore, it’s creeping into 3 and 4 sometimes. If you ask them, they will give you the disclaimer you didn’t know about before: AFTER they get the product, it’s 2 day delivery. Doesn’t matter if it says it’s in stock, there is no way to tell when you order. I’m also noticing more and more items showing up listed as “extra items” or something similar... stuff they won’t ship for free unless you have a 25 dollar minimum order. since Im not interested in the movies or anything, I’m probably going to cancel mine when it’s time to renew.
I am experiencing the opposite - sometimes I get orders next day, and even on weekends! I made a purchase last Saturday and it was delivered on Memorial Day by USPS much to my surprise.
However, the Post Office is having some major consolidation problems. I had a package stuck in Denver for an entire week, with no tracking updates until just before it arrived, with a “delayed in transit” notice.
Elsewhere, the mail sorting facility in Tucson has been closed, so now Tucson mail has to be sorted in Phoenix. And I imagine similar pickles are happening all over the map.
I have been doing that for awhile here in Phoenix. It’s great however they don’t use traditional carriers but couriers that sometimes don’t really care about package security or package integrity(ie box might be a bit smashed).
