Over the last three months, the GOP's Iowa front-runner has become an incredible, shrinking presence on the campaign trail. Sure, he's still touring the country, introducing himself to voters, telling them how unafraid he was to stand up to the unions and liberal protesters he battled in Wisconsin, but he's also ducking out of uncontrolled situations, skipping questions from the press, and spending more time on small or private events, usually packed with friendly crowds. Last week, when he traveled to Israel usually an occasion to invite reporters or hold a press conference Walker held no press events. The same was true last month when he went to Europe. He skipped the press on a recent tour of the Mexico border, at a campaign stop in South Carolina, and even at a local chamber of commerce event in his home state of Wisconsin.....
...Theres a common feeling among Iowa GOP insiders that, as prominent Iowa social conservative Bob Vander Plaats put it to me, his campaign intentionally put in the clutch, on Walkers meteoric rise, for two reasons: One, to manage his momentum going into 2016 and keep him from peaking too early. The other, to give the candidate time to prepare for the scrutiny that being a front-runner brings. .....
Update: Walker's campaign vigorously denies that he has been less accessible to the press, and sent along a list detailing a number of interviews he's given over the last two months, including with local reporters in Iowa and New Hampshire and with conservative outlets. The campaign did not respond to initial requests for comment regarding Walker's media availability.

What will you say when President Cruz doesn’t deport the millions of illegals? None of these candidates, if elected, is going to do anything about illegal immigration except to beef up security on the border. I know he has said he’s against amnesty, but if you think Ted Cruz is going to have the buses and planes ready to deport the millions from Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala, and the rest of Central America if he’s elected stop fooling yourself. You have to be realistic and come to terms that a President Cruz, a President Walker, a President Paul, etc... will leave these people here. They won’t call it amnesty but that’s what it will be. Stop breathing in the Cruz fumes and realize he’s no different than any of the rest of these candidates on illegal immigration.

Be careful now. You’re gonna roll over and see that you’re in the sack with Liz Warren and union thugs - you may want to watch how much you drink in the future. The liberals all look good at midnight to you.
Especially since you have no idea how Walker would have voted on this.
I don’t see any good side on this trade deal...you’re either in the Obama camp or the Liz warren camp, which is even more radical than Obama. I doubt you’re smart enough or knowledgable enough about the deal to finesse this one.
I, of course, have an agenda, and I'll keep sending volunteer effort and real cash to the Cruz campaign. I am working hard, with others, to make sure Cruz is the last man standing.

Well what do you expect - here in an article about the media and Walker - before I can even jump in and agree with them - they start their comments worried about Cruz. Cruz derangement syndrome.
I was gonna say that the left shows you who they fear...and they fear Walker and Cruz more than anyone else at this point, by a mile.
I gots some real unhappy news for you dude...NO ONE....NO ONE is going to deport millions of illegals - not in any kind of rapid way you want. NOT GONNA HAPPEN. The reasons for it are myriad. A couple include A: most Americans do NOT want mass deport and B; there's no logistical way in hell to do it and C: even if there were, there would be lawyers and judges holding it up. Dude, wake up - we need to stop CITIZENSHIP and VOTING RIGHTS and work on reducing WELFARE to the illegals, but your mass deport fantasy is just your immigration porn.
‘zackly.
“Ted Cruz is an establishment, amnesty, US Chamber, Golman Sachs Republican.”
Mrs. Cruz is a Goldman Sachs executive.
In today’s world nothing is as it seems on the surface. Running for political office is expensive. Ultimately politicians must find backers and perform services for the money they receive. Money is more important than votes.
No matter what Mr. Cruz says, he is owned by someone.
Sounds like Walker is “playing it safe”, like Hillary is also doing. Can’t blame him after his Amnesty run-in.
I realize it’s hard to see but check out the interview in Post #1, then come back and tell me what you think.

Wisconsin’ state motto is “Forward”, you idiot.
His early campaign season mission is accomplished.
He is now a known factor and people talk about him even when there was no current appearance.
Those that like him continue to point to his strong points and those that fear him continue to make stuff up.
That is precisely why everyone should have voted against it.
I support free trade. I depart from unconditional free trade where we drop our shorts while the other nation imposes tarrifs on "certain" goods.
But this bill has two very bad things....first, it is secret. No bill should be kept secret and voted upon unless it is a rare case and intelligence-related.......second, it grants powers to the POTUS that belong with the Congress.
On those two aspects alone, I would vote against this....and so should have every good conservative.
you have a logical case, but there are a few problems with it.
First, you are commenting as if it was “secret” to Cruz. It was not. It was secret to you and me. Second, you are dismissing his job related reasoning with respects to his constituents, and third, there is nothing more moral necessarily about voting against something, especially when Elizabeth Warren is voting against it and when ultra liberal socialist union thugs are against it. That’s VERY shaky moral grounds.
But again, my only point here...is that its a confusing issue and not any kind of valid litmus test - for all the reasons of confusion listed above.
There is NO REASON for such a bill to be held in secrecy.
I like Cruz, but do not trust politicians to make such decisions.
Remember immigration reform under Bush43? Everyone on our side was for it until the people spoke up and flooded them with calls, emails and visits.
We do not have that opportunity here.
If a Tree falls in the forest, and the MSM refuses to record the audio, does the falling tree still make a sound?
