Aides scrutinized, sometimes blocked release of documents requested under public-records law
WASHINGTON—When Hillary Clinton was secretary of state, her staff scrutinized politically sensitive documents requested under public-records law and sometimes blocked their release, according to people with direct knowledge of the activities.
In one instance, her chief of staff, Cheryl Mills, told State Department records specialists she wanted to see all documents requested on the controversial Keystone XL pipeline, and later demanded that some be held back.
In another case, Ms. Mills’s staff negotiated with the records specialists over the release of documents about former President Bill Clinton’s speaking engagements—also holding some back.
The records requests came under the Freedom of Information Act, or FOIA, the public’s main tool to get information from the government. Decisions on what to release belong with each agency’s FOIA staff, say experts on the law, to guard against the withholding of documents for political or other inappropriate reasons.
Questions about the transparency of Mrs. Clinton’s State Department tenure have been bubbling ever since it was revealed that she exclusively used a private email account to conduct her work as secretary. The existence of that private system, which is being investigated by a House special committee probing the 2012 attack on a U.S. diplomatic outpost in Benghazi, Libya, meant the department didn’t have access to her emails when public requests to see them came in.

I can’t believe ABC would pay a doofus like him $105 million. Sounds like another NBC type deal, paying for favors from the Clintons. Are there ANY prosecutors in this country with balls or what? It just goes on and on and on and on and on, yet if me or you commit the tiniest crime, these prosecutors would not hesitate to come after us full force and wipe us out. Every simply driving a car can bring more punishment than the Clintons ever received. Don’t pay your parking tickets and they tow your car.

I once had to pay a fifty dollar ticket...for Riding... my Bicycle.. with Headphones on. The was back in the 1980’s That law.... isnt even enforced here in 2015!
The Clintons long long record of breaking the law being something of a legend years before either of the current scandals ie. series CRIMINAL ACTIVITIES. that the American public has gotten used to hearing about these messes and simply ignoring them ...as dircted by an often conplicit news media...is one thing.That no one with the authoity to go after them has yet done so,,,...is quite another.

I remember all the way back in 1992, around that time when the Clintons were first running for co-President, this guy came on TV, I think it was on Larry King or something like that, and he was warning the American people not to vote for them because they were corrupt as hell. He was saying they had all kinds of problems with them in Arkansas, and he was pleading DO NOT VOTE FOR THESE PEOPLE they are trouble! My God, how right he was. 8 years of BJs which directly resulted in 3000 people being murdered on Sept. 11th 2001 and liberals had the gall to blame Bush who was only in office a mere 8 months. For 8 years terrorists attacked this country all around the world, over and over and over and over and over, and this Arkansas slimebag cared more about getting a BJ and lining his own pockets than defending the country. And Democrats dare to say we should go through that AGAIN with this freakin’ HIllary?

Larry is the man that single handedly had Bill Clinton impeached! He was responsible for getting Gennifer Flowers, Paula Jones and Monica Lewinsky to come forward with their stories about their involvement with Bill Clinton. He brought out all the truth on the whitewater land scam involving Bill and Hillary Clinton. Larry Nichols was the only man to ever personally sue Bill Clinton in court. The court case was illegally stopped by a corrupt court system and none of the bought off press would report on the evidence presented!

That could be the guy I saw all the way back in 1992, that guy is a hero. Too bad the country didn’t listen to him. Now we are seeing the same thing again with Hillary, warning after warning after warning about her and the country doesn’t listen. If she wins, it will be like nuking the Titanic as it’s sinking, this country will never ever recover no matter who is elected after.
You know now that I think about it, I don’t think it was him. I remember the guy I saw was older and had a white mustache and he was from Arkansas and he was explaining all the problems they were having with the Clintons. But either way, there were plenty of warnings from a lot of people like there are now with Hillary, and people just do not listen and we pay dearly for it. Same with Obama, a lot of people were warning the public about him as well and the idiots out there voted for him anyway
