America and Iran on Monday took another step towards direct military co-operation in Iraq as pro-government forces prepared a counter-attack to retake the key western city of Ramadi.
Iran’s defence minister, Hossein Dehghan, flew into Baghdad for talks with the government after the Iraqi army fled from a concerted attack by Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant on Ramadi, the capital of the majority-Sunni Anbar province.

Perhaps give Iran the weapons they need to perform their part of the job?

Ramadi is lost. It doesn’t do any good to counter-attack the same lost ground. You’re better off trying to split ISIS by attacking another occupied city or province. Now they have plenty of time to booby-trap the entire city with anticipation of another urban brawl.

First, the Iraqi army shouldn't run and abandon civilians like a bunch of cowards. Second, you honestly think we didn't "see" Isis headed there? C130's anyone? Now we want to do something after the people have had to flee for their lives and God knows how many people slaughtered? OMG I could keep going but what's the point.

Only under the leadership of Obama does the US undertake operations to "counter attack" and "retake" only days after taking a pass on defending the city. I suppose the President's idea is to let the Shia militia move in and retake the city.
Ironically, he’s uniting Israel and her Arab neighbors...against him.
His behavior is consistently against America, UK, Christians, Jews, and pretty much against the Egyptian/ Jordanian/ Saudi versions of Islam, too — preferring whenever he can the more obviously violent Moslems like his islamonazi pals in Iran, Moslem brotherhood, Hamas, Palie “authority” hezbellah and other terrorist groups. If two Moslems face off. O is always backing the more violent rabid one — and backstabbing the less Islamonazi one
