Paul Pressler, a former Texas appeals court judge who has long been a supporter of conservative causes and active in Texas politics, announced Saturday that he is endorsing Sen. Ted Cruz (R) for president.

Pressler, who in 2012 hosted a large group of evangelical leaders who voted to coalesce their support behind Rick Santorum’s presidential campaign as a challenge to frontrunner Mitt Romney, said he announced his endorsement of Cruz at a meeting of conservatives in Washington Saturday.

“I feel that Ted Cruz is electable and he stands by his convictions in an articulate manner,” Pressler said in an interview Saturday.

---snip---

Pressler said he has been friends with Huckabee for “30, 40 years” and has also known former Texas governor Rick Perry, a prospective candidate, for decades. Pressler said he had made up his mind to endorse Cruz when the candidate called him and asked the judge to introduce him at the gathering – and endorse him for president. Pressler first met Cruz when the candidate was a teenager. They have stayed in touch though they are not particularly close....

The primaries will be here before we know it.

Is this Ted Cruz’s 2nd major endorsement ?

Perhaps someone or we can comvience Jim Robinson to call upon all the troops and ralley and coalesce around Ted Cruz.

2nd Division Vet is there any latest news on Ted Cruz’s campaign funding totals as of now ?

Has Ted Cruz had that important campaign fund raiser dinner with Shelden Adelson ?

Wouldn’t that be a crack in Jeb’s egg shell if there were multible huge endorsements and big money from New Hampshire.

Last time I saw Ted Cruz on a interview with Meygan Kelly he has a inner optimism about America and it’s people.

He also has inner peace and joy, he let’s critisizm run off his back like a duck.

He is really down to earth.

It would be nice. Aand the sooner the better. Because I am thinking that yet ANOTHER year and a half of listening to liberals drag FR posters into another liberalism fiasco isn’t good for ANY of us.

We all will never agree on most details/things. But this is existential. And we finally got a candidate that is far above the traditional 80% mark. So why do we go from PDS to TDS? If we cannot get behind the guy that we all spent the last 2 years praising, I don’t know WTF is wrong. If people that marched their asses into a booth 2 years ago to vote for an open liberal and fought about that ‘cobservative’ decision to this day, they can damn well re-march right back in 16 and vote for Cruz. Period.

No excuses folks.

Well, when Jebbie jumps into the ring and officially announces, hopefully that time or a little after would be a good time for Jim Rob to make his big official annouchment here if he is going to endorse Ted Cruz.

I would not wait when Jebbie gains momentum.

I hope Jebbie drops out of the race, or never enters if God were to hear our prayers.

God please hear our prayers and don’t let Jebbie enter the race and move on Jim Rob’s heart to use wisdom when to make his big official annouchment if he is going to endorse Ted Cruz, in Jesus Christ’s name Amen.

Hear our prayers God please.

No offense to Jim, and I would be damn happy to see him endorse early and often. But it really doesn’t matter in the end. What does matter is that the rest of us get our collective heads out of the sand and commit. Numbers are what matter. And we need those numbers for two reasons. One, to elect Cruz of course and 2: to shout down and shut up the liberals that will dog Cruz and everyone here until they get their next RINO. They have apparently already begun the TDS campaign so lets have at’em.

So that would be at current time $ 75 million ?

Looks like Ted Cruz is in it for the long haul.

I hear you Norms, a few months ago the operative word about Ted Cruz was “ he’s unelectible “ “ he doesn’t have a chance” but now Ted Cruz has about $ 75 million to work with and the conservative base behind him.

But we have the those who are clinging to Rand Paul, Mike Huckabee, Marco Rubio, Rick Perry, we even have a few here clinging to Jeb ?

Ted Cruz is the clear winner here, the only rational choice among conservatives.

The other canadates are only road blocks to stop Ted Cruz from getting the nomination.

I do not think either the GOPe or some here on FR are serious of ever getting a true conservative elected as President.

Z”I do not think either the GOPe or some here on FR are serious of ever getting a true conservative elected as President.”

There are plenty here at FR who don’t want a conservative POTUS. Let’s have some fun flushing them out : )
