I wish the public schools would teach people how to write.
Interesting, but seems like a canard. It does not explain how a projectile caused the train to speed up. The engineer was not unconscious as he applied the emergency break.
I’m waiting for someone to claim the train was hacked.
Okay a rock hits the window and an experienced engineers response is to panic, accelerate the train to over twice the safe speed and derail it resulting in the deaths of what eight passengers? Seems legit to me, let’s go find someone else to blame for the engineer’s actions.
They shouldn’t route trains through TEA party neighborhoods.
Well, a third person makes it seem more feasible. I still think it doesn’t add up. I don’t believe he really can’t remember. I do think he was speeding on purpose. From what I heard on the radio from other engineers, that is not uncommon. He also should not have pulled the emergency brake because at that point it was likely to cause the derailment.
But who knows. I think there are enough competing big gun interested parties in this that the truth will eventually be known.
They are desperately trying to distract from the truth - he loved trains, was polite, some foreign object hit the train, whatever - which is the train was SPEEDING at twice the speed limit.
That is operator error. Case closed.
Sissyboy got scared and sped up to escape possible homophobic bullies. ‘Don’t hurt me’ cried the bone smuggler.
Maybe it was Hillary throwing ashtrays
—Passenger on Amtrak Locomotive Says His Train Was Also Struck by Object
Well, theres the issue. They are allowing passengers to rid on the locomotives.
Dozens and dozens of editors .
I’ll have to remember this one.
“Yes officer, I realize I hit this guy in the crosswalk and he was dragged 50 yards. I can’t seem to remember now what happened exactly, but as I recall I was driving down the street about 35 mph. Suddenly something hit the side of my car. My car sped up to 75 mph. I blacked out. My car hit this individual two steps before he reached curb. I somehow overcame my unconscious state and hit my brakes. The car rolled. The pedestrian was killed”
“I need an attorney.”
A passenger traveling along the same route the night that Amtrak Train 188 derailed in Philadelphia told NBC News that an object hit his train, shattering the window.
Which then made the train accelerate to twice the limit and crash.
Maybe there was some plan put together by a few someones to create an “accident” which would then make someone look prescient? Just throwing it out there is all. Sure seems to be a heck of a lot of objects suddenly hitting a lot of trains...you know...suddenly...
This is what I dont understand, if this Amtrak train was hit(According to a woman in the cafeteria cart who overheard the Engineer saying his train was hit by something) if the Engineer was able to say that his train was hit, it didnt affect the speed limit of the train, so how did that supposed object cause the train to go from 50 mph to 106 at just the exact moment it had reached the curve..how very convenient
Looks like the projectile didn’t make it through the window.
dry run for a laws rocket attack on locomotives in various places at the same times?
Debris kicked up by the runaway train?
Per an engineer who had "encountered several cars on the tracks" in his time, he never felt the collision due to the mass of the engine.
It'll be interesting to see where this goes...
According to the Warren Commission Report, the train was struck by a magic rock which shattered the windshield, turned in midair and pushed the throttle forward, turned again and hit the emergency brake, then hit the driver in the head rendering him unconscious, turned once more and exited through the rear crew door. Google earth shows a small grassy knoll just before the turn in the track, just east of the knoll you can see a woman in a black burqua.
