No Mel, no Mad Max.
Simple as that.
Not interested.

Hadn’t planned on seeing it anyway. Every “reboot” film takes something that was awesome and adds in the gay, feminist, global warming, illegal alien, and/or anti-white male agenda and turns it into a giant steaming pile of crap for the demographic that made the original into a classic.

Almost all movies and TV shows are made for the purpose of promoting a specific agenda. The plot and story line are molded around the agenda. While the viewer willingly suppresses his disbelief the agenda is piped into his head.

If the critic DIDN'T see the flick, I don't care what his OPINION is.
Opinions are like a$$#oles. Everybody has them.

The movie -- like the original "Mad Max" trilogy -- was filmed in Australia Funny, when did Namibian Desert become part of Australia?

“Well-known men’s rights activit”? I’ve been involved in men’s rights for a decade and a half, and I never heard of the guy.

What??
This is just stupid. I saw it. )I love a good, wild action flick) and it was fun. I would highly recommend it if you like that kind of thing. It was, essentially, the best car chase ever from beginning to end.
People who think there is some agenda (other than making money) with this movie, probably have a wardrobe of tinfoil hats.

The Left will never make a film about a genuine female hero in a post-apocalypic world such as experienced by Filipina guerilla leader and outspoken pro-American Yay Panlilio

I'm not familiar with this "well-known "men's rights activist", but from this article, he seems like some leftwing caricature of what they envision as a kooky men's right advocate.
He's trolling, I suspect. Ignore him.

Not clear.
Did this guy Claret write the book?
Is he just some dude who is an author?

if this idiot thinks that cheering for Charlize Theron while she blasts away at loser zombies, then he is the wimp for not cheering on Rhonda Rousey...
There’s other reasons I think scenes should have not been in the flick, but a lack of testosterone is NOT one of them

As absurd as male action-hero films can get, those that feature female powerhouses are universally obnoxious. When I am expected to believe that a 120-pound swimsuit model can kick the snot out of a 300-pound power-lifter nail-spitting bad guy, I know that the movie isn't about right and wrong but pushing the same phony egalitarian claptrap we can't escape every day.
If you think Lucy Liu or Uma Thurman or Scarlett Johanson can put the beat-down on Steve Austin or Arnold Schwarzenegger or Sylvester Stallone, you need to get your testosterone checked. Same if you think Charlize Theron makes a good Mad Maxine.
