ORLANDO, Fla. — Police in Lake Mary have arrested a Winter Springs man on charges related to a shooting that took place Monday involving George Zimmerman.
Matthew Apperson, 35, turned himself in Friday evening, police spokeswoman Bianca Gillett said.
Apperson was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and firing a deadly missile into an occupied conveyance.
"After conducting numerous interviews throughout the week, detectives determined that Mr. Apperson did intentionally fire his weapon into the vehicle occupied by George Zimmerman without provocation," Gillett said in a statement.
Apperson is accused of firing into a car Zimmerman was in on Monday. Zimmerman had only minor injuries from glass cutting his face.

I know that he was eventually arrested on lesser charges. The charge should have been attempted murder. And the only reason he was arrested was they could not come up with a way to pin it on George. Somewhere down the line, this guy is politically connected. That is the only logical reason that he is allowed to run around with a loaded gun, shooting at people. Look for the State attorney to drop the charges in about three months.

What about the most obvious charge? Attempted murder?
That is the way I saw it. The guy intended to kill George. that he did not was not from lack of trying.
One of his neighbors found a dead squirrel on their doorstep and they told WFTV they felt he did it as he had been in a recent altercation with them. I would move if I had to live next door to him!
They are only doing that until the heat dies down. In a few days, he will quietly be RORed. In about 3 months the State Attorney will announce that they are dropping charges. the guy is politically connected somewhere.
I did not think about it when I responded to but, but, I think on the yellow sheet you used have to fill out when buying a gun, they asked have you ever been in a mental institution, or words to that effect. I was told that if I answered yes to that, they could not sell me a gun. And If I lied, I could be prosecuted for perjury. Again, the only explanation for him to be running around with a gun is tat he is political pull.

The language on the 4473 is pretty specific. It asks if you have been judged to be mentally defective, or if you have been committed to a mental institution. Admitting yourself to a mental health facility does not make ineligible to buy or possess a firearm.
Thanks for the clarification. It has been over 30 years since I had one filled one out, and that was what the salesman told me. He asked the questions and I answered them and then signed it.
More disappointment for the leftie MSM. They had Zimmerman arrested in the first draft of this story.
Zimmerman should have left Florida and never returned. He’s not very smart.

Now I wish Travon had not been killed. Because if he was still alive, he would be merrily robbing, stealing and busting heads where ever he would be. And with any luck a good many of them would be George Zimmerman haters.
