In case you missed it yesterday, ABC News chief anchor and former Clinton White House communication advisor George Stephanopoulos admitted to donating $75,000 dollars to the Clinton Foundation after being busted by the Washington Free Beacon. Of course, Stephanopoulos didn't disclose the information before interviewing Clinton Cash author Peter Schweizer two weeks ago about allegations Hillary Clinton traded political favors for donations to the Clinton Foundation during her time as Secretary of State. During the interview, Stephanopoulos argued there was no "smoking gun" to Schweizer's claims in his book and said ABC News had concluded there was no wrongdoing. Naturally, ABC News won't be reprimanding the anchor for failing to disclose donations to executives or the ABC News audience.
Now, in light of Stephanopoulos' donation revelations, Schweizer wants ABC News to do another interview.
"What ABC could do is let's do another interview on the Sunday morning show to talk about the contents of the book so we actually get a chance for viewers to hear what's in the book. That's the first thing I would ask," Schweizer said in an interview on Hannity Thursday. "Looking at Stephanopoulos' past, the question to me is really, going into that interview I assumed the relationship with the Clinton's was in the past, that he had made this transition into the media and it was a different chapter in his life. These donations, the fact that he's going to these events, it raises all kinds of questions about that and I think it's legitimate for people to look into it. If this was any other political candidate and a reporter doing this, you can bet there would be serious consequences for it."

For reference, here is Schweizer's first interview with Stephanopoulos before he disclosed massive donations to the Clinton Foundation.
The interviewer would probably just reply with the standard “it’s my interview so I get to ask the questions”.
He was trust me
It was frustrating
I went outside and shot a starling
Felt better
Gwen Ifil is another good example. She used to be on ABC News. She is now on NPR.
She said “We” when referring to Democrats on a This Week panel. She was gone shortly thereafter.
George Stephanopoulos has had his “We” moment and needs to go.
Gwen Ifil. Incredible that they let her host a debate when she was writing a book about Obama. I blame this as much on the GOP that they accept these biased people hosting debates. ABC News needs to clean up its act as well.
As I say, I do not watch FNC as much as I used to... the power of the ruling oligarchy is becoming overwhelming. We have ATT U-Verse tv cable and they have a channel - One America News {OANN} - which is a bit of a fresh breath; when the network began in 2013 it had a limited partnership with The Washington Times. At 8p they have 'The Daily Ledger' commentary which seems reliably uncompromising... at 10p they have 'The Rick Amato Show', another commentary show which I have not watched because I go to bed[!]
I have been off-line for a week and in the hospital... went in for a 6-hour chest x-ray and ended up with a 6-day gall bladder removal! Yikes!
Slowly working my way back to the battlefield.
I’ve never understood why folks being interviewed by Stephanopolous haven’t just called him out whenever he appeared to be crossing the line.
Everyone knows or should know he was one of the Clinton’s minions in the so-called “War Room” with James “Batboy” Carville whose work was to attack the critics of the Clintons.
He should never have been allowed to be an on air personality in a show where unbiased journalism was required.
Yes, Bob....I also have discovered OAN...One America News. It’s a refreshing change and I get it on FIOS channel 116.
Hope you are feeling better and have a smooth recovery from your surgery.
