And now, I present the super amazing transformation timeline of Mike Huckabee on common core. - Mid 2013: These standards, known as Common Core State Standards, have been near and dear to my heart since I served as Governor of your neighboring state of Arkansas. And its disturbing to me there have been criticisms of these standards directed by other conservatives including the RNC. The truth of the matter is, these criticisms are short-sighted. Like many of you, Ive heard the argument these standards threaten local control of whats being taught in Oklahoma classrooms. Speaking from one conservative to another, let me assure you this simply is not true.

The GRIFTER Huckabee is going into full coverup mode and resuming his pretense at being a conservative.
He is a shill for Jeb Bush and will do the dirty work if he can on Cruz and others.
His payoff is to be in with the GOP and a possible VP slot if Jeb gets in.
Cruz or lose.

yet there are those that love this man on this board. I was sent a list of things he did well as governor. I guess they are true and that is nice.
that doesn’t change the fact that he comes across as an outdated preachy old uncle that tries to act hip by playing the bass.
Cruz reaches the religious right AND everyone else. He has a great sense of humor, is modern and current, and has a message of hope for everyone.
I have converted my brother and sisters (he’s not electable, bush is) I destroyed that argument and now she sees the light. we all need to do the same. Get five or ten people to change their mind and support him.
He’s got nothing.
He did political hits last election as well.
Claims innocence and is as rough, tough and dirty as any.
Well it was fine and conservative when Mitt did it so Huck will have no loss of voters for a flip flop.
And he will help a rino get the primary by grabbing 10 percent of the vote from God knows who?
Are people voting for him because he is religious? So Is Cruz.
Cruz can visit Israel 14 times too. But I believe he will be a great friend of Israel even if he just visited once,
Is it that they see him as some great man of God?
It seems Cruz has that attribute too and is not old, outdated, and a FOX news sellout.
Well, if Huck’s gonna split the conservative vote he’s gotta adopt the hot conservative positions.
That is his job, to defraud well meaning but ignorant Christians out of their votes from others in order to slip Jeb Bush (who will lose to Democrats) in.
1. Education has long been federalized in this country and pretending it isn’t is just sticking your head in the sand. Advocate abolishing it. Fine. But I doubt that ever happens.
2. Oh the horror. Kids will be held to specific standards in reading and math. If there is liberal nonsense mixed in, get rid of it. But so what about the standards. Federal money comes with strings. At least make those strings guarantee your money is graduating kids that have strong English and Math skills.
3. There are about a million problems with the public schools bigger than English and Math standards.
4. Huckabee shouldn’t flip flop. but on this one, I really don’t care.
May want to Google ‘Saul Anuzis.’
I know who I want to vote for.

The ballot box related activity sure does help with self governance, doesn’t it? No candidate seems to serve “We the People”.
I am not a Huck fan, but lots of other good folks have changed on Common Core, too. Oklahoma was one of the leading states in this movement with the goal of actually improving education at the State level with State guidance. But, once Common Core was hijacked by liberals and the feds, and then became a requirement for fed funds, Oklahoma led the retreat.
Lots of reasons to not support the Huck, but flip flopping on this one from 2013 to now might not be one of them.

Thanks, SoConPubbie, for educating &/or reminding those few on this forum who either don’t understand or don’t care about the danger of CommieCore.
How, or why, anyone here would defend it is beyond comprehension.
