Five of the seven men who stood alongside Kim Yong-Un at his father's funeral less than four years ago have either disappeared, been brutally executed or banished. Jang Song-thaek, Kim Ki Nam, Choe Tae-bok, Ri Yong-Ho, Kim Yong-chun, Kim Jong-gak and U Dong-chuk, who made up North Korea's political and military elite - were pallbearers at the state funeral of Kim Jong-il in December 2011. The dictator's uncle, Jang, was allegedly executed by firing squad, Ri is presumed dead, one has disappeared and two have been banished. Only Kim Ki Nam, the regime's propaganda chief, and Choe Tae-bok, the chairman of its People's Assembly, remains at Kim's side.

I don’t think his father was this blood-thirsty. Sooner or later someone if going to get tired of having their neck on the block and will do away with him.
Obama is taking notes.
You know what is disappointing?
That this article does not break new ground on the gruesome executions involving military weapons and gross overkill.
The last guy supposedly bought it via anti aircraft gun.
That’s gonna be pretty hard to top.
I have a few ideas, but this is a family site.
Indeed, German intelligence planted the false narrative that Soviet Generals were conspiring to overthrow Stalin, resulting in a great purge of Generals. Playing off the high level of fear and distrust in NK shouldn't be that hard, although simply penetrating into the society is the issue. What if 20-30 leading military leaders were to learn that they were collectively to be executed (along with their families) in say 2 weeks time, and they all knew that the others knew? Would they conspire? Would they revolt?
Rumor is Kim Yong-Un might accidentally walk in front of an anti-aircraft gun soon.
Those Generals were fools not to snuff out that pot bellied pig the day big Kim bought the farm. Only way a threat to lil’ Kim’s power could be safe was with a coup.
You know the joke about two running away from a bear and one stops to put on track shoes? "I don't have to outrun the bear, I just have to outrun YOU!
That is how Stalin and other autocrats control(led) their powerful subordinates. Everyone of them felt the heavy hand of suspicion and did their best to point it off on a peer.
To break this chain requires a conspiracy and then you run into the old truism that any 3 people can keep a secret - if 2 of them are dead! When an informant can save themselves by betraying a plot, how do you keep that plot from being betrayed? IT CAN BE DONE but the odds are always bad!
Or, a Freedom minded person can sacrifice themselves for mankind.
For North Korea? It’d take a heck of a lot more than one person.
He executed all the pigeons in NK because they said ‘coo’.......................
It wouldn’t be that hard to top. He could strap someone to a missile and launch him into the atmosphere. I could think of better, but as you say, it’s a family site.
Somebody guarding Kim has a gun.
That guy.
“I have a few ideas, but this is a family site.”
Right. It doesn’t have to be anything more graphic than what you see on Saturday morning TV!
Why not strap the “traitor” to a 500lb bomb and drop it from 10,000 feet? He can meditate on his crimes against the State on the way down. Just don’t drop it too close to the grandstand, unless the observers are “traitors” too.
2Kim Ki Nam
3Choe Tae-bok
4Ri Yong-Ho
5Kim Yong-chun
6Kim Jong-gak
7U Dong-chuk
Waitress? I'll take the #5 with a side of Double Cheeseburger with bacon.
FMCDH(BITS)
That guy, I get.
It’s all the others that have the same ideology as Fat Boy that have to go. Who is going to off them?
“I have a few ideas, but this is a family site.”
Attach the functionary to a torpedo and fire it at a pod of whales.
China needs to invade and set up a General as ruler to reform the state of North Korea. Its getting to be a blight on the name of Communism. Anything would be better than this bloodly failed state.
