A sign put up at a Washington County, Tennessee church has people talking. A News Channel 11 viewer contacted us, complaining about the marquee outside.
What you read on the sign depends in which direction you travel down Old Boones Creek Road in Jonesborough. On one side, Jonesborough Baptist Church advertises its Sunday school starting at 10:00 AM. The other side, something totally different, an offer more than an invitation making a point that's purely political.
"Oh my goodness," Caryn Vest of Kingsport said when she saw a picture of the sign.
Close to the sign are several flags, including a Confederate.
The pastor of the church, Randy B. Robbins wouldn't talk on camera, but he told News Channel 11, "I am a proud Southerner, and I disapprove of Obama's leadership."

The Best Thing For the Church Pastor to have on the Sign! Oddly enough hopefully the ‘sinners’ get right with God, as everyone knows whom every supports Obama endorses the devil!
The “Constitution law professor” in the article is an idiot. Churches are tax exempt because taxes are a law made by congress which is prohibited from making any law respecting an establishment of religion. The Gov has no authority to prohibit political speech in a church.
Proverbs 8:13
The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.
Psalm 97:10
Ye that love the Lord, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.
Psalm 97:10
Ye that love the Lord, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.
There is nothing wrong with the word “hate” or the action of hating evil; God himself endorses hate under the proper conditions. What matters is that hatred must be directed against those who oppose God and good. There are few people alive more deserving of hatred than the leader of those who are trampling freedom of speech, freedom of religion, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, and other God-given and constitutionally-protected fundamental human rights.
I for one thought signs were inanimate objects. Who knew they could offer anything, let alone a service so important as removing graffiti?
That is not only not in the Bible, there are several verses that say almost the opposite.
An "Obama/Biden" sticker would lower a car's value 10 - 20% if I were buying.
Especially if they leave the potato salad out in the sun too long...
Brings back memories, does it not YAH?
That is certainly not a political statement, merely an offer to remove ugly smudges from people’s bumpers.
I have ‘Obama has cut our military budget so much America can’t afford the bitch of Benghazi.’
And Hitlary is as crooked as her husband’s penis!
Yet another church about to lose its tax exemption status.
By opposing our communist master, this advances the Kingdom of Heaven in every way possible.
You just signed up to post that? This church is not endorsing anyone for political office and will not lose its tax exempt status.
Your post will be more effective if you can actually cite the Scripture passages to which you refer.
FReegards!
I’m curious how they are removing the bumper stickers. They can be a real bitch to remove.
Who said it was in the bible? It is attributed to Thomas Jefferson.
Since Obama advances the cause of Satan more than any other politician, I would disagree.
The Cult of 0bama is idolatry.
The socialist Cult of Government is idolatry.
Idolatry in the XXI Century does not take the traditional forms ...
