Very interesting!
Saw that. It seemed to be an elaboration of the official statement that there was “no indication” of terroism.
seems they already would be on twitter, hollering alla akbar
Mayor Nutter:
5 alarm pulled for train derailment.
5 dead.
They can’t possibly confirm any such thing this soon. Having said that, I expected them to say as much.
They must have run into something.
I’m no fan of
nutter but this is one of the better press conferences i’ve seen over the years
Have been watching on FOX. It looks horrific. No signs of life in the first 2 cars. After them...people climbing out windows and helping others out.
The death toll will be high.
So many cops there—hundreds coming in by bus. Terrorism threat?
They say the passenger train ran into a freight train parked on the tracks??? Sabotage??
Woman on Fox said train started moving to right and then rolled.
Do you think tracks were fooled with before?
Crash is in a old warehouse district, probably not a lot of people around if someone wanted to fool with tracks.
Looks very suspicious. But, every disaster does these days, unfortunately.
The FBI ruled out terrorism while they were en route to the scene.
That’s what their Arab Lords told them to say.
CNN needs to be ruled out. They’re useless.
The only reason I’d rule terrorism out is that it happened at night. Not the same impact as during daylight.
Fox just said an eyewitness heard an explosion and saw flame at the moment it happened.
At least five confirmed dead at 11:30......
Sound like an IED to me.
Looked like that front car was blown, it did not just roll over.
Seconded - he did a good job communicating the (still-limited) information available at this point. Not a fan of his generally, but things like this rightfully transcend politics.
