Apparent fingernails mismatch reveals Barack Obama airport ‘family photos’ are likely digital creations

It's perspective.

The woman is taller and is shooting straight-on, so the flash bulb lights the fingers head-on, as well as watches and stuff.

The boy is smaller and is shooting upwards, and the hand is high on the shoulder, so the flash bulb lights it from a low oblique angle. That's why things up high are darker in the second picture, because the boy is not lighting people head-on, but from a low angle.

Sorry you rejected the obvious answer.

In the first picture shot by the woman, you see the watch face lit head-on. In the second photo taken by the boy, the agent is slouched over talking on the phone. His wrist is twisted around the handset, pointing the watch face away from the camera. All you see is the watch band, which is not well lit from the camera.

Watch position is also different.

With arm up, watch face is not showing.

With arm down, watch face is visible.

Actually the line of sight from photographer to subjects looks adult eye level in both of them. There is no evidence it is a smaller subject shooting “upward”, it is direct on at the same level.

The evidence is common sense. They are taking turns having their picture taken with Obama Sr. She takes one with him and the boy, and the boy takes one of him with the woman.

Why are there none of the three of them together? Maybe they did ask a stranger to take the picture, and it has been lost to history.

But common sense suggests that it was just the three of them at the airport, and they took turns taking pictures with Obama.

Also, take a closer look at the lighting of the background. Imagine that the camera was likely a Kodak Instamatic with a square 4-flashbulb cube on top.

See how much more directly lit the background is with the boy in it?

Look at the white partition to the right of Obama. Notice the angle of partition relative to the wooden trim on the side of the agent's desk. See how the underside of the trim is more lit in the photo with the woman, and the underside is darker in the photo with the boy?

BHO does appear to have had rather long fingers. Context is everything. It seems he DID come to Hawaii over a Christmas period, either 1969-1970 or 1970-1971.

If it was 1969-1970 that might explain the image of zero with Scott Inoue which Scott's mother dated 1969.

The boy certainly appears to be the same age in all of them:

And after the visit which appears to have been for about a month, he was photographed departing, surrounded by Stanley Armour Dunham and possibly student acquaintances from the period 1959-1962. The back row might show ILWU union members to whom he lectured whilst in Honolulu.

About the perspective. In the photos, the one with the mom in it, the dad’s ears are below the long lighted board in the far background. In the photo with obama the boy, the dad’s ears are in line with the bottom of the board. Would be exactly the opposite if the shorter person was taking the photo with the mom.

But I suppose they weren’t standing in the exact same spot. So that got me looking at other things. In the top photo, the edge of obama sr. arm is a bit farther from the vertical edge of the ticket counter. And his head is in line with the lighted tree behind him.

However, in the second photo the dad’s arm is a bit closer to the counter, yet the tree is far to the left of his right shoulder. That doesn’t make sense to me.

They clearly moved a bit while taking the pictures.

The original point still is this: after looking at the details and considering that the woman and boy took turns taking the pictures, these are not digital fakes.
